Beyond the Gates (BTG) spoilers note that the major crossover event the show had with its sister soap, The Young and the Restless (Y&R), ended up being a major win in the ratings department, and CDL has the scoop surrounding this.
Fans may recall that an announcement was made in January of this year about the big storyline that was in the works where pivotal Y&R players, Victor Newman (Eric Braeden), Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman), Diane Abbott (Susan Walters), Abby Winters (Melissa Ordway), Devon Hamilton Winters (James Bryton), and Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) were slated to enter BTG’s canvas.
Beyond the Gates was promising a memorable CBS crossover during the week of June 8 to 12, and something fans have never seen before.
They sure did deliver! The Genoa City residents headed to Fairmont Crest for Martin Richardson’s (Brandon Claybon) political fundraiser, but what they ended up getting was the scare of a lifetime when a tornado crashed through at the end of the gala.
Who could forget the moment everyone thought Abby was a goner when she walked across the ballroom (after the tornado) and almost got clobbered with a falling chandelier.
Thankfully, resident criminal (with a ‘secret’ heart of gold), Joey Armstrong (Jon Lindstrom) came to her rescue and saved her life.
Still, there were also sizzling scenes like when Kyle kissed FC’s gold-digger (and very married) Hayley Hamilton (Marquita Goings); not to mention Dani Dupree (Karla Mosley) doing the deed with Bill Hamilton (Timon Kyle Durrett) in the elevator!
Social media was on fire during that week in June as fans offered massive accolades to all players involved in the storyline, and now the rating numbers have come in to add to the crossover’s success.
As per a report from Soap Opera Network, Beyond the Gates received its second-largest viewership of the season during the crossover event. But that’s not all.
BTG also saw an increase of +162,000 (1.796 million versus 1.634 million) for week-to-week viewership, as well as a jump of +248,000 when numbers were reviewed during the same week, last year.
In addition, June 8-12 was the new CBS soap’s largest year-over-year increase in audiences so far, with 1.796 million fans watching, compared to 2025’s 1.548 million.
The show also saw its best overall ratings in 15 weeks with the crossover.
More ratings numbers reveal that the Thursday and Friday episodes during their Y&R crossover offered BTG’s largest audiences to date.
The Thursday, June 11 show averaged 1.83 million viewers, while the Friday, June 12 show averaged 1.84 million.
Meanwhile, Beyond the Gates weren’t the only winners with ratings that week, as their sister soap, The Young and the Restless, averaged more than three million fans for the 20th consecutive week, which started during the week of January 26-30, 2026.
Y&R saw 50,000 more fans tune in to their soap, week to week, which reflects 3.105 million versus 3.055 million.
Beyond the Gates spoilers note that the crossover event was highly entertaining for fans of both shows, so here’s hoping it becomes a regular thing!
