In tonight’s Boston Blue episode, Danny was back in uniform. He needed to experience a tour like every beat cop. It doesn’t matter if he went through all of this back in New York. He was in Boston now.
He needed to qualify for his detective shield in his new city so he went on tour. He thought it would be quiet. Even his son thought they would have a quiet tour. They ended up foiling a robbery at a nightclub by a couple of meth heads. They pulled off a big bust and they were soon back on the streets. The Reagan boys together again.
The Silvers weren’t resting either. Sarah heard back from Phoebe’s mother, Julie. Julie was demanding that Phoebe come with her. Phoebe was there during a robbery. She also got injured stopping a fugitive from getting away at teen academy. It was a special program so that teens could see what it takes to become cops.
It worked on Phoebe. She now wanted to be like Sarah and that probably annoyed her mother even more. Julie was a very bitter ex-wife. She wanted to take Phoebe overseas with her for her new job.
It wasn’t a part of their custody agreement. The one they spent months haggling over. Julie was pulling this stunt not because she was scared about Phoebe. She was doing it because she wanted to punish Seth. It’s funny how she wants to change their custodial agreement now that he’s engaged to Sarah. They’ve been together for years now.
Yet, things are different with an engagement. It gave Sarah a say about Phoebe’s future. Sarah has been where Phoebe is now. Her parents got divorced when she was young. And her mother made it all about her.
Her mom wanted to hurt her ex so badly that she hid presents that Sarah’s dad sent to her. She let Sarah believe that her dad forgot about her birthday because he was starting over.
Sarah has never forgiven her mother for being that cruel. She cut her mom off over a Barbie dreamhouse. She warned Julie to not uproot Phoebe to win against Seth. It would only show Phoebe who truly cares about her and who doesn’t. Seth had been worried about the two women meeting. There was no need because Sarah didn’t fall for any of Julie’s ploys. She just warned her.
Sarah was willing to put Phoebe first. Was Julie willing to do the same? Sarah didn’t know the answer to that question. She sorta got wrapped up with a case that Brian was working. Brian was Lena’s boyfriend. He was a cop too. He worked in Narcotics. He used Yancey to get information on Eric Harper. Harper then traded information before he went away for life for an attempt on a protected witness. Harper told Brian that drugs, prostitutes, and regular contraband was being brought into the prison.
Some of the guards were in on it. There’s no telling if the Warden also played a part. It was still widespread corruption and they couldn’t get any guards to talk about it because their union would rise up like a giant kraken out of the sea. The union wouldn’t allow any cops to speak to their officers. There was one piece of good news.
They found out a former inmate who worked in the kitchen was out now. He revealed how the drugs were being brought in through the kitchens. He said Dax was the only name associated with this fake shipments.
Dax Supply Company operated inside of Boston. Lena went there with Brian. Danny and Sean acted as backup. They thought to knock on some doors. They weren’t going to do anymore than that.
Which was why they weren’t prepared for the drug dealers to make things violent right away. They shot Lena. She was rushed to the hospital. She was going to make it. Sean also figured out how to find the men responsible. Sarah agreed with his plan. They eventually made their arrests and Jonah was there to help.
Jonah had earlier found a witness to help the District Attorney’s office make their case. He did so with the help of his grandpa. The old man still had much to teach him and he’s already taught Lena forgiveness. She finally met her father tonight. He was invited to dinner with the Silver family. He brought his daughter Christina.
She became a part of the family. There was a spot saved for Brian as well. He recently received a job offer from the DEA’s DC office. He was still thinking it over when Lena got hurt. And she became his priority.
Brian was supposed to be at their family dinner when suddenly a car forced him into the river. It was deliberate. They decided to end this season on a cliffhanger. And Brian’s fate won’t be revealed until this fall.
THE END!
