Danny was accustoming himself to Boston. He was now jogging in the neighborhood. It’s what he used to do back home in New York. Though he was being more fitness cautious lately. He couldn’t keep eating takeout forever. He was even drinking green juices. Lena said that wasn’t like him. He usually got a bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich. She asked him if everything was alright. He said it was fine. The case soon took up their attention and so Danny never mentioned what triggered him getting healthy.

Their case was big. They were investigating a murder that took place during a robbery. It was a gun shop smash and grab. The person or persons who did it have done it before in other counties. They cleared out the gun safe in every situations. What do they need all those guns for? Sarah was afraid to find out so she filled in Lena and Danny about the other robberies. There’s been a pattern. This person hits every night. Sarah wanted these people caught so that they knew that Boston was off limits.

Tonight was the first time these people have ever killed before. They killed Hal Dinsmore. Hal was an only child who never married or had kids. He was alone in the world. He also died a hero. The scene wasn’t right so they played the 911 call. It revealed what happened. There was one guy who got shot trading fire with Hal. Hal never noticed his injury because he was a former Marine. He was trained to ignore his pain while he administered first aide to someone who needed it. He shot and injured the person that was robbing him.

That person was left at the scene while their partner or partners took the guns. They first thought their injured man was Reese Camotta because he was wearing his bulletproof vest. Except Camotta was found alive at his apartment. It wasn’t him who shot up that place. He didn’t steal any guns. The man at the hospital was John Doe. They looked into Camotta and he has a younger brother constantly in trouble. The brother might’ve stolen his vest from when he stayed with him. Camotta checked out the man at the hospital to see if it was Dylan and it wasn’t him.

Camotta has never seen John Doe before. He also doesn’t know where Dylan is. He kicked him out for using drugs and so he has no clue where his brother would hide with his crew. Much less who was in this supposed crew. They were at a dead-end. Sarah soon became busy with her personal life. Phoebe was like her stepdaughter. She was her boyfriend’s daughter. Seth shared custody with his ex. It was fine and now it was going to become a problem. Phoebe’s mom accepted a job in Japan. She wanted to take Phoebe with her.

It didn’t matter to her that Phoebe didn’t want to move to Japan. She was happy in Boston. Her whole life was there. Her school and her friends. She also didn’t want to leave her dad. Only he works a lot. The same goes for Sarah. Phoebe has even been through a custody battle once before. She knew that them working long hours and have lots of business trips would work against them. She didn’t want to get dragged to Japan because her mom suddenly decided to ignore their current custody plan.

Sarah agreed to discuss it with Phoebe and Seth at dinner. They had dinner at a local bar. They were waiting for Seth when Sarah’s two worlds collided. The gun smash and grab happened earlier than expected. The two men they took off running when the cops caught up to them. They ran into the same bar that Sarah was in with Phoebe. They got taken hostage along with everyone else at the bar. There was another guy in there with a gun. He reached for it to defend himself so Sarah was forced to take hers out as well.

One gunman got shot. The other fled. Danny soon arrested Dylan in the alley. Sarah and Phoebe applied first aide to the injured shooter and that was after Sarah disarmed him. They caught their culprit. Danny also called Dylan’s brother to give him the good and bad news. Jonah and Sean also had a strange case. They had what they thought was a young woman who ran from a traffic stop. It turned out to be the car owner’s son who was wearing drag and he didn’t tell his parents about it. Or about the drag.

The boys asked him to come clean with his parents so that the car was no longer reported stolen. They later had dinner at Mae’s place. That’s when Danny finally revealed why he was training. He wasn’t trying to run the Boston Marathon like a bunch of tourists did. He was running the Rookie Run. It was for Rookie cops only Danny was technically one in spite of his detective rank. He ran the race with the boys and so did Lena. Lena was a former track star. So, she left them all in her dust on the field.

And the Silver siblings all knew about Mae’s flirtation with a certain judge. It started in the courthouse and he was now sending her flowers. Could this be the start of something new?
