In tonight’s Boston Blue episode, Lena was meeting with Conor Fahey when shots rang out. He was a volunteer on the parade committee. He was acting as security for the St. Patrick’s Day Parade in Boston. He met Lena while she was going over the route with them and he asked her to meet that night in the alley.

By time she showed, there was shots ringing out. Fahey was killed. Lena and Danny were asked to investigate. Sarah also took a personal interest in the case as Superintendent. She promised a lot of people to make the parade safer this year and they already were onto a bad start with the death of a volunteer.

Fahey wasn’t just any volunteer. He loved the Boston PD. He wanted to be a cop one day. It’s why he volunteered to work security. He was hoping it would prepare him. Unfortunately, it did a little more than that. Fahey found out about a credible threat against the parade and he started investigating.

He made a video about it on his iPad. He never got to finish the video or leave enough clues. He possibly interrupted. The night he was shot he tried to spell out the passcode to the iPad so that the real cops would understand he was onto something big.

He never got a chance to explain what the threat was. Only they knew it was real because someone was killed to hide it. They get threats every year and it usually never pans out.

They ran through all the scenarios. The worst case scenario would be them having to cancel the parade just to keep everyone safe. It would make Sarah the most hated person in Boston so she was holding off on it. Lena and Danny were working the case in the meantime. They found out that Fahey got into a fight with a guy earlier that night.

He got into a fight Floyd Conkel. He was a sovereign citizen. Danny instantly thought domestic terrorist. He had been wrong because Conkel was a security specialist. He got a job to set up cameras to watch these guys for five hundred dollars and then Fahey tried to sniff him on the price.

He only had three hundred. Conkel refused to give him access to the cameras without the missing two hundred. He didn’t care that Fahey said it was a matter of national security. The kid wasn’t a real cop no matter how much he pretended to be one.

Conkel gave the Boston PD access to the cameras. Danny recognized the men that Fahey was surveilling. They were Mano Sangriento. They were cartel. Danny has had many run-ins with them back in New York and one of them even killed Danny’s wife. Danny was forced to tell Lena about it.

He didn’t want to. He did it because they should know what they’re facing. These people will kill family members to get back at you and that was usually something off the table. The cartel also didn’t have an interest in the parade.

Fahey was wrong about that. They were in Boston looking for someone. Lena’s boyfriend works in the Gangs unit. He has an informant inside that cartel. His informant later told them that this wasn’t about the parade at all. There was a Mexican prosecutor who put several of them behind bars.

The cartel retaliated by killing the man and his whole family. There was just one person that manage to escape the slaughter. It was the son named Javier Torres. Javier has a godmother that now lives in Boston. She got him out of Mexico. She has him hidden in her apartment.

Javi being a kid meant he didn’t think things through. He went back online. He started to use his laptop. Sangriento tracked the Wi-Fi service he was on and that’s why they were casing the apartment building. They knew he was there. They just didn’t know which apartment.

They didn’t have his godmother’s name, but the cops did. They went there and Javi wasn’t there. He used his laptop to talk to a pretty girl and all along he was getting catfished. He was lured out of his apartment by the cartel.

He was lured to the parade. The cops were out looking for him on the route. They found him right as the cartel did. There was three cartel members with him.

The cops killed them all and saved the kid. Javi and his godmother were going to be put in WitSec. They were going to be safe. And they have a long road ahead of them to heal.

Jonah started out the day hating the parade. He hated the hypocrisy of it. He was even winning Sean to his side so he changed and he did what Sean would have done. They found ways to enjoy the parade while still on duty. Also, without alcohol.

And Lena told Brian that she wants more with him. She doesn’t want to keep him at arms’ length. She thought they should take it slow and the truth is they both wanted more. So, its time to have more.

THE END!
