On tonight’s Boston Blue episode, Lena was dating her former partner. Things were going well. It was just they have separate sleep routines. She wanted to go to bed with a cheap tabloid she could finish and he wanted something else. He said sleep would happen eventually with his dream scenario.
The two were trying to work out a deal when Lena got called to Boston General. Her partner was investigating the fallout of a bar brawl. There’s a woman at the hospital with a fork sticking out her cheek and she said Dr. Hottie said she needed a surgeon.
She started the brawl. Lena and Danny informed her what she needed was a lawyer because the bar owner was pressing charges. Though they didn’t have much time to talk to the suspect seeing as that’s when Dr. Hottie showed up. Dr. Hottie was Dr. Troy Underwood. Lena’s ex Troy.
The one that cheated on her. The one that costed her major trust issues. She ran off pretty quickly when she realized he worked at that hospital. Danny figured out that Troy was the one that even Lena admitted wrecked her. The two were just leaving the hospital when they noticed people running.
They stopped one person long enough to find out. It turns out there was a man in the waiting room demanding his daughter get a new liver or he was going to blow up the hospital. The detectives drew their guns. They rushed to the waiting room and they found Greg McKean.
He had his hands on an old cell phone. He was demanding that his daughter Sofie get the surgery she was promised. They had apparently gotten a call that a liver was available and they thought finally. Then the woman who gave him the good news called back to say the liver was a clerical error.
It’s not like Sofie had a lot of time without the new liver. Greg wanted his daughter to live more than anything so he used his experience in the military.
He set up several bombs around the hospital. He said there was enough to level the whole building. He even gave the cops a taste by detonating a car outside with that old cell phone. He wanted the cops coming to know that he meant business. He was demanding to see Mabel Yardley. The woman that claimed it was a clerical error. And he might be onto something about how strange it was that there was no new liver for his kid.
Mabel had been killed in her home. There’s a chance that she didn’t make the second call, canceling the surgery, willingly. The cops knew it wasn’t Greg who killed Mabel. He wanted Mabel to give him answers. He wouldn’t release people until he spoke to Mabel so he was cleared of murder. For the time. His hand could slip off the detonator and he could kill everyone at the hospital. He refused to release people because the Mabel deal was gone. He only allowed Troy to move around because he was a doctor. He took his oaths seriously.
It’s why Troy found out what happened to the liver. The liver should’ve gone to Sofie was instead going to another little girl named Kimmy Noble. It turns out that Kimmy’s uncle sat the board of the hospital. He paid off Mabel to lie for him. He was going to steal a liver for his niece. It was why he demanded that the surgeries continued in spite of the threat. It was Sarah who said she couldn’t allow that to happen. Now, they needed a surgery to happen. Greg wasn’t joking he’d kill everyone if his daughter doesn’t get the liver.
Sofie’s health was worst off than Kimmy’s. Which meant the liver was hers. Sofia was taken into the OR. Her surgery wasn’t going well at first and so Greg turned pulled his finger off the bomb. It has a three minute delay. Sean and Jonah found the bomb in the mortuary. With Lena’s help, they deactivated a bomb. No one was harmed. Sofia has a new liver. Kimmy does not. Kimmy’s uncle also got arrested for murder. Lena said what needed to say to Troy before she walked away. She was happier without him in her life.
Mae and Grandpa were out of town. So the Reagans hosted dinner. Danny couldn’t cook so they were eating Chinese takeout. And Jonah and Sean were still arguing about soaping up. Sean doesn’t soap his legs. He said the soapy water from up there by his would go down his legs. He thought that was clean. He just didn’t know what happened to be a body wash that went missing. Danny had to tell them that someone just moved and who didn’t have enough cash was probably using their things as a means of getting by.
Once they thought about it, they knew who exactly has been stealing body wash.
THE END!
