In tonight’s Boston Blue episode, a young college basketball player was being stalked. Her name is Soraya King. The stalking started about six months ago with creepy letters and a long stem rose.

Soraya wrote it off at first. She was beginning to get worried only recently because campus security hasn’t stopped it before it escalated. Her stalker writes that it was time they finally be together.

The timing was supposedly right for it. Or so they claimed. The campus security eventually handed this one to the cops when they got nowhere. Danny and Lena were on the case tonight because Soraya’s fears were right in that this escalated to murder.

Soraya’s coach was murdered not long after they lost the game. Both she and Soraya did an interview with a sportscaster. The guy was a bit of a jerk to them. He accused Coach Bradley of underutilizing Soraya.

He thought that’s why her game has been off and she’s been off because of her stalker. She constantly worried about where he’ll show up. The poor coach caught blame for no reason. Campus security really did not help either woman. They didn’t even do their due diligence because Boston PD found the stalker within days of the coach’s murder.

He works for campus maintenance. His name is Ethan Anderson. He uses his badge to log into the basketball court all the time and no one in campus security thought to check who would have access to place all those roses.

All those letters. Ethan was their stalker, but he wasn’t their killer. He actually had an alibi for the coach’s murder. He got arrested and they kept looking for their killer. They found out that the whole team knew about the stalker. The assistant coach also knew enough that Coach Bradley was looking into something in her off hours.

Both Danny and Lena checked. It was revealed one of her other players was shaving points. She was young and Caucasian. She thought she should be receiving the NIL money that mostly went to Soraya.

Soraya happened to be black. The other girl claimed that’s the only reasons brands wanted to work with her. She also used the fact that Soraya has been off her game as an excuse that Soraya should never have been put in to play in the first place. She blamed Coach Bradly. They later arrested her for shaving points and were trying to pin the murder on her when she revealed her accomplice – Soraya’s dad.

Soraya got her height from Damon King. He was a pro basketball player. Danny was actually a huge fan of his until he figured out that Damon used his past to shave points and that he had actually been in town much longer than he claimed. They thought the stalker had killed the coach because a long stem rose was found on her remains.

It turns out Damon used the stalker to send the cops down the wrong road. He got involved in all of this because he ran up some gambling debts. He didn’t want to use his daughter for this scheme so he turned towards another player.

Damon eventually got caught by the police. He said the gang has his daughter. They were demanding that he’d pay off the entire debt. He couldn’t do that and so the cops stepped in. They managed to later rescue Soraya. T

hey also arrested everyone involved in the cheating scam. Her father had intentionally been throwing off his daughter with the roses. He wanted her to lose so he could keep paying off the gang by getting against her team. What he did was horrible. Soraya realized that she didn’t need his approval. And the same went for Lena.

Lena felt it was a mistake to look up her father. She never got to meet him, but she did meet her half-sister. It hurt her that she always wanted a dad and that Christina the sister got to grow up with a loving one.

She accidentally spilled to Danny who spilled to her boyfriend Brian. Brian then made up for it. He got her old friend Yancey out of prison. Yancey ended up at the hospital first because he got injured flipping on his gang. Prison made him want to leave the life. It opened his eyes and he did help them make their case against a true gangbanger.

Mae came through. Only she was still keeping secrets. She never told Lena that her father found out about her. Lena had to find out from her brother-in-law. He’s a cop. He did a little digging and confronted his boss/father-in-law. He learned about Lena. He came in person to warn her. He said he has to tell his wife and that he didn’t want to blindside Lena by telling Christina. Christina probably have questions. She’ll probably seek out Lena because she couldn’t trust her father to tell her the truth.

The same way that Lena couldn’t trust Mae to tell her everything.

Jonah also had a moment of clarity. He realized policing while black didn’t have to be how it was in the past. He arrested a young black kid for robbery and the kid was soon cleared of any wrongdoing.

It had been his friends that robbed that place. He just had the art supplies. Jonah bought him fresh supplies because he saw some of his artwork. It was good. Almost as good as Lena’s. Jonah left a good impression on that boy and that meant the world to him. It showed that things were changing.

THE END!
