Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers reveal that more secrets will come to light about Dominic Marino and his past.
The key to unraveling this whole mystery may be Rita Lesley (Maggie Carney), especially if she served as Dominic’s fill-in mother and helped Stefano DiMera (Joseph Mascolo) hide him all these years.
Brady Black (Eric Martsolf) and Steve Johnson (Stephen Nichols) are already starting to realize Rita could have some answers for them.
Steve and Brady determined that leaving a trail of breadcrumbs wasn’t really Dr. Wilhelm Rolf’s (Richard Wharton) style, so Rita seems to be their new top suspect when it comes to the person planting clues.
Of course, Days fans know Rita has been busy carrying out Stefano’s final wishes.
Rita let Stefano’s portrait know that everything was playing out as her old boss intended.
However, let’s focus specifically on Rita’s connection to Dominic for a moment.
Rita stole Stefano’s ring from EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) after he left it on the coffee table and shipped it to Dominic instead.
Days viewers can tell that Rita has a certain level of knowledge and maybe even affection for Dominic.
Someone must’ve raised Dominic after he was born, so Stefano might’ve given Rita that task.
Rita might’ve served as Dominic’s adoptive mother, even if that adoption wasn’t a legal one.
Perhaps Rita was still Dom’s mom in every way that counted and helped Stefano prevent the truth from coming out until he was ready.
For whatever reason, it appears Stefano wanted this shocker exposed after his demise, so now Rita is doing her part to make sure all the pieces are in place for the big reveal.
Days spoilers say Dominic has plans of his own and is no doubt coordinating with Rita on all this.
After Dominic’s birth certificate surfaces and presumably points to Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall) as Dominic’s biological mother, Rita may have some huge news to share.
Rita may be the one to spill the entire story and help Marlena make sense of the weird memory flashes she’s been having.
While Marlena was on Stefano’s island decades ago, she apparently got pregnant and gave birth to Dominic.
Naturally, Rita could get jealous if Marlena and Dominic eventually form a real mother-son bond.
It could lead to Rita going off the rails a bit depending on where DOOL writers want to take all the drama next.
