General Hospital Friday, January 2 Update: Sidwell’s Demands Escalate, Michael’s Downfall, Jordan’s Power Play

General Hospital (GH) spoilers update for Friday, January 2, reveals that Jenz Sidwell’s (Carlo Rota) demands will escalate while Michael Corinthos’ (Rory Gibson) downfall is brewing. Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper) will also discuss a power play, there’ll be a lot happening in Port Charles.

Although Jordan has a generous salary and plenty of perks thanks to her current job, she isn’t letting that cloud her Sidwell judgment.

Jordan will talk to Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) about making the most of her position, but she’ll be prepared to leave it all behind when it’s time for Sidwell’s takedown.

While Jordan plots a power play against Sidwell, Laura Collins (Genie Francis) will get some new orders.

Ezra Boyle (Daniel Cosgrove) might be the bearer of bad news since Sidwell’s demands are about to escalate.

Sidwell will feel confident that he’s got both Laura and Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) right where he wants them.

During a conversation with Marco Rios (Adrian Anchondo), Sidwell will stress the importance of reminding Laura how much is at stake.

Laura could lose her freedom if she doesn’t do exactly what Sidwell says, but the threat is worse than that.

There’s also some danger when it comes to Kevin Collins (Jon Lindstrom) and Ace Cassadine (Karis and Kiernan Barry), so Laura may push him to accept the lecturer gig in Dublin and take Ace with him.

Kevin could care for Ace with the help of a nanny or two, so Laura may feel like the best solution is for them both to be in Ireland right now.

In ADA Justine Turner’s (Nazneen Contractor) office, she’ll have a conversation with Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) about Alexis Davis’ (Nancy Lee Grahn) disastrous defense of Willow Cain (Katelyn MacMullen) so far.

ADA Turner will think she’s already won the case, but Alexis will refuse to give up on pulling off a victory.

Alexis will remain determined to turn things around since pleasing Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) is the only path to keeping up her Scout Quartermaine (Cosette Abinante) visits.

With that in mind, Alexis will move full-speed ahead with a new court tactic.

It seems likely Alexis will decide it’s time to go all in on making Michael look like the guilty party.

Alexis got a letter that alerted her to Michael’s presence at Drew’s house the night of the shooting, which Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) can confirm.

We’ll see Alexis mull over ways to bring this info out in court, so putting Jacinda Bracken (Paige Herschell) on the stand and exposing her fake alibi will be part of the strategy.

Kristina Corinthos-Davis (Kate Mansi) will have a meltdown when she gets updates on Alexis’ attempt to make Michael seem like the shooter.

It’ll leave Kristina complaining about Alexis setting Michael up, but Alexis may argue there’s no proof he’s as innocent as he claims to be.

As for Sonny, he’ll have some guidance to share with Michael on Friday’s GH episode.

Sonny may point out that the trial is far from over, so Michael can’t let his guard down and should be careful about what he spills on the stand.

General Hospital spoilers say Michael will think he’s ready for what Alexis will throw at him, but a courtroom downfall may be coming up!
