General Hospital (GH) spoilers hint that Ava Jerome (Maura West) and Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) may end up in a sizzling romance as they scheme against Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard).
The two will spend more time together during the week of August 17, as they aim for the mob boss for their own respective reasons.
The weekly General Hospital promo shows them enjoying a drink at the Metro Court Pool.
Drew tells Ava that they can take Sonny down together, and Ava flashes him one of her signature grins as he says this.
It’s not hard to see where this is going, especially since both parties are single.
Drew and Ava will concoct a scheme to ruin Sonny for their own respective reasons, but sparks are sure to fly in the midst of all this plotting.
In many ways, they already are.
There’s a certain chemistry between these two villainous characters who don’t care about ruining people’s lives, as long as they get exactly what they want in the end.
With that said, Ava does have a little more of a conscience than Drew; something that has surfaced in more recent years.
She doesn’t mind railroading her enemies but will often refrain from crossing a line if she feels like someone could get hurt in the process.
Still, her disdain for Sonny outweighs the knowledge that hurting him will hurt her daughter, Avery Corinthos (Ava and Grace Scarola), so there’s that too.
Regardless, as slimy as Drew is, Ava’s got a type, and it’s toxic men!
Especially when you look at her romantic conquests over the years, from Ric Lansing (Rick Hearst) to Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota), John Cates (Adam J. Herrington), and others, Ava tends to fall for the complicated bad boy, and Drew fits this bill to a ‘T’.
However, considering that Drew has major beef with two of Ava’s closest friends in Port Charles, Ava will either struggle to hide her connection with Drew or deal with a ton of drama along the way.
Both Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali), Ava’s art gallery mentee, and Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) can’t stand Drew and have been hurt immensely by him in the past, but that won’t stop Ava from not only scheming with the man but diving into his bed as well.
With that said, Trina may offer her fair share of warnings; however, how will Nina feel when she realizes that Ava has not only befriended her and her daughter, Willow Cain’s (Katelyn MacMullen) ex, but is ‘involved’ with him?
Ava is breaking girl code as it is, simply talking and sharing drinks with him.
Even if Ava reasons with Nina that she is only hanging out with Drew to strike back at Sonny so she can gain full custody of Avery, Nina will not approve and may even be upset.
If Ava ends up hitting the sheets with Drew, is this something she’ll admit to?
That’s crossing a major line, considering how Drew played both Nina and Willow, not to mention everything that’s gone down between these three since before and after he was shot.
General Hospital spoilers suggest some wild moments between Drew and Ava up ahead, as sparks fly, schemes are concocted, and chaos is unleashed, so fans will have to tune in to see what happens next in this storyline.
