General Hospital (GH) spoilers for the week of August 24 reveal that Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) and Ava Jerome (Maura West) have an ambush plan for Jack Brennan (Chris McKenna) that could cause the WSB chief to overdose.
Fans know that Brennan is slated to be killed off come the fall, so could this scheme mark the beginning of the end for the man?

During a clip, Drew and Ava are at the Metro Court when he tells her he needs her to keep Brennan busy.
A scene is then shown of a woman placing drugs into someone’s drink.
It seems like Drew has plans to search Brennan’s hotel room as Ava keeps Brennan occupied.
Drew is likely hoping he’ll find the blackmailing evidence Brennan has against him.
Drew agreed to keep quiet about Willow shooting him and causing his locked-in syndrome so that Brennan would keep the intel he found to himself about Drew’s illegal Congress campaign.
Still, fans know that Drew wants Willow to pay and is also biding his time to strike back.
There’s a good chance Drew overhears a conversation where Brennan reveals where he’s hiding his blackmail proof in his hotel room.
Perhaps Drew has a light bulb moment and devises a scheme to get that information so he’s no longer under Brennan and Willow Cain’s (Katelyn MacMullen) thumb.
With that said, could something go very wrong in Drew and Ava’s scheme?
Obviously, Drew doesn’t want to kill Brennan, but considering the man has just recovered from his locked-in state, could the drug Ava slips into Brennan’s drink have a terrible and unknown reaction in the WSB Chief’s system, causing him to slip into a coma?
Then again, maybe it triggers an allergic reaction in Brennan, causing the man to fight for his life!
Brennan could be in a hospital bed for weeks or months until he passes, with ups and downs of hope that he’ll pull through.
General Hospital spoilers note reports indicate that Brennan will exit the canvas this fall, and that he’ll be unalived by someone.
Whatever takes place this week could push the button on the chain of events that ultimately causes Brennan’s demise!
