General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that the show is clearly gearing up for a Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) and Tristan Rogers (Dean Geyer) pairing.
It’s just a matter of when Britt will fall for Tristan and whether she’ll commit a Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) betrayal when it happens.
Britt was delighted to see Jason when he returned from his time in captivity.
Jason’s WSB imprisonment was rough on him, but he’s back and reevaluating his priorities.
However, Britt’s mostly been busy with GH shifts and all her other commitments at the hospital.
To get rehired, Britt was forced to get on board with all sorts of extra duties that are making it difficult to truly reconnect with Jason.
Likewise, the focus of Jason’s world right now is Danny Morgan (Asher Antonyzyn), so his romance with Britt may take a backseat due to various dad duties in the coming weeks.
It feels like the show’s intentionally trying to let Jason and Britt drift further apart.
Instead of giving Britt and Jason an explosive reunion, GH writers are keeping them at a distance both physically and emotionally.
Of course, we can’t forget that Britt kept Jason in the dark along with everyone else when it came to “Nathan West” aka Cassius Faison’s (Ryan Paevey) true identity.
Britt could’ve told Jason the truth about that twin swap news, but she chose to keep it to herself.
Britt’s secrecy could still come back to bite her and add to the problems that are piling up with Jason.
The show is seemingly finding ways to shove Jason aside to free Britt up for her new pairing with Tristan.
With that in mind, Jason may let Britt down in the hero department the next time she needs saving.
Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) may take deadly action against Britt soon if “Peter August” gets his wish, so Tristan may come to her rescue this time around.
That could easily lead to Britt getting swept up in a powerful moment with Tristan.
Britt and Tristan will inevitably share their first kiss sooner or later, so it might happen after he saves her life.
If Britt and Jason are still a romantic item at that point, she may betray him by getting swept up in some passion with Tristan.
Britt and Tristan’s first kiss could catch them both off guard as well mark a major shift in her romantic future.
