General Hospital (GH) spoilers for the week of July 27-31 reveal that some comeback excitement is in store along with some first appearances.
Some story shockers are ahead as the ABC soap shakes up the canvas.
Let’s start with a fun return since Robert Gossett is set to reprise the role of Marshall Ashford as July winds down.
Marshall will no doubt meet his new grandbaby and support Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) as he prepares for his trial.
Over with Kai Taylor (Jens Austin Astrup), he’ll force Quinn (Jequan Jackson) to patch things up with Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) first if his former teammate wants to truly make amends with him.
Trina and Kai will also get a shock related to Drew Cain’s (Cameron Mathison) upcoming lake fiasco.
It’ll lead to Kai and Trina making some wrong assumptions, so they might assume Willow Cain (Katelyn MacMullen) is responsible – even if Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) actually pushes Drew in the water.
Next, Kelly Kruger will make her debut as a Serena Baldwin recast on July 30, so look for her to dive right into some Deception drama.
Serena will be willing to play hardball and even get a bit sneaky for Lucy Coe’s (Lynn Herring) sake.
GH fans can also expect Serena to share important scenes with Michael Corinthos (Rory Gibson) as part of the corporate chaos.
Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) will no doubt clash with Serena once she’s tangled up in Deception business as well.
Meanwhile, Troy Lennon Appel will make his first appearance as a mysterious business executive named Hudson on July 30.
Look for Hudson to be on the hunt for someone in Port Charles and show a willingness to make some drastic moves to get what’s after.
Will Hudson’s entrance to the show set the stage for Ethan Lovett’s (Nathan Dean) exit?
Ethan will have no choice but to go on the run in the not-too-distant future, so that could be related to Hudson’s hunt and the trouble he’ll bring to Port Charles.
It’s possible Hudson is Phoebe’s (Luna and Lucia Creighton) bio dad, but it’s also possible he simply works for him instead.
Phoebe’s “baby daddy” may be a villain who’s a bigger deal – perhaps one with ties to GH history since Ethan got that DNA sample from a PCPD cold case evidence box.
As for Jason Morgan (Steve Burton), he’ll reunite with Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and most likely deliver some huge news.
There’s a good chance Jason is on the verge of announcing his mob exit, so Sonny may have to accept this big change.
Jason will have to accept some changes in Sonny’s life too now that the mob boss is relying on Ric Lansing (Rick Hearst) as his attorney and growing closer to him as his half-brother.
Despite Jason’s trust issues, Sonny may rush to Ric’s defense.
Over with Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud), she may end up wallowing in some loneliness if Jason isn’t willing to continue their romance.
Speaking of romance, Giovanni “Gio” Palmieri (Giovanni Mazza) and Emma Scorpio-Drake’s (Braedyn Bruner) relationship could get targeted if jealous Charlotte Cassadine’s (Bluesy Burke) crush spirals out of control.
Charlotte has a thing for Gio, so she may view Emma as an obstacle in her path – even though she’s a minor and has no chance of actually stealing him away from his real girlfriend.
General Hospital spoilers say the week of July 27-31 will bring some new cast members and plenty of curveballs, so stay tuned.
