General Hospital Thursday, April 30 Recap: Josslyn’s Crush on 'Nathan', Ethan Passes Sonny's Test

General Hospital (GH) recap for Thursday, April 30, reveals that Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) made an offer to Ethan Lovett (Nathan Dean) with ulterior motives while Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) got a wrong romantic hunch about Josslyn Jacks’ (Eden McCoy) interest in “Nathan West” aka Cassius Faison (Ryan Paevey).

At the Metro Court Gardens, Ethan watched as Lucy Coe (Lynn Herring) annoyed Ava Jerome (Maura West) by making herself a third wheel at Ava and Jenz Sidwell’s (Carlo Rota) table.

Lucy tried to fish for information on the extra zincite Sidwell had shipped through Deception, but Ava argued that Jenz deserved to relax instead of talking business.

In Sonny’s office, Ric Lansing (Rick Hearst) suggested that based on his research, Ethan was someone who could be bought.

Ric thought Sonny should test Ethan by offering him money to leave town and see if he would take it.

Sonny indeed tested Ethan later by suggesting that if he was in financial trouble, he was willing to take care of it cleanly.

Ethan realized Sonny was offering him money to leave Port Charles and turned it down before realizing he just passed a test.

Although Ethan acknowledged that Ric didn’t trust him, Sonny did and had another job for Ethan to do.

At Carly Spencer’s (Laura Wright) house, Lucas Jones (Van Hansis) let himself in as usual, but Carly hinted about appreciating notice next time.

Lucas didn’t want to catch Carly with her mystery man any more than Carly wanted that.

Since Lucas feared this guy was dangerous, he pushed Carly to end things.

Lucas also worried about what Jack Brennan (Chris McKenna) would do to Carly if he found out she was two-timing him.

Carly insisted she trusted her new guy to help her handles things, but she also planned to make sure Brennan never found out about her cheating.

In Brennan’s suite, Josslyn insisted Carly was involved in with someone else, but Brennan thought she was making this up because she was upset about going on sleeper status.

Josslyn argued it was the truth and suggested Carly had never gotten past the whole S. Vaughn (Bryce Durfee) debacle.

Since Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) was hauled off by the WSB, that didn’t help matters.

Brennan remained skeptical and pushed for this mystery man’s name, but Josslyn claimed she didn’t know.

However, Josslyn stood her ground on Carly cheating and felt that Brennan would see the warning signs if he really thought about it.

Brennan indeed gave it some thought after Josslyn left and recalled some inconsistencies in things Carly had told him.

There was also a flashback of Brennan spotting Carly with two drinking glasses when she was supposedly alone.

Brennan eventually showed up in Sonny’s office to grill him about Carly and any lies she might be telling.

Sonny basically mocked Brennan for sounding jealous and thought maybe Carly finally realized Brennan was “bad news.”

Back at the Metro Court Gardens, Ric Lansing (Rick Hearst) pulled Ava away from her table with Sidwell and Lucy.

Once Ric was sitting with Ava nearby, Ethan popped up and looked suspicious as he spied on them.

Lucy took advantage of her moment alone with Sidwell by offering an out at Deception since he was such a busy man.

Sidwell insisted on sticking with his Deception partnership and hinted about the company being beneficial to him.

Since James West (Gary James Fuller) was on the verge of getting his next karate belt, Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) summoned “Nathan” and Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud)) to Crimson for some party planning.

Obrecht wanted Nina to host an elaborate bash to celebrate and had all sorts of over-the-top plans.

Nina suggested reining those plans in a bit, but she made it clear that party would still be epic.

Once Liesl spoke with Britt alone, she relayed that Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) had been asking questions about Cesar Faison (Anders Hove) as well as “Nathan.”

Britt was alarmed enough to summon Cassius to her office at GH, where she pointed out his Nathan charade could be in jeopardy.

Cassius realized this was about nosy Josslyn and didn’t care about a ditzy sorority girl. Britt argued that Cassius should indeed care since Josslyn was actually a WSB agent!

Back at Crimson, Josslyn showed up with a vanilla latte as a peace offering for Nina.

After Josslyn mentioned “Nathan” being her workout buddy recently, she sought help selecting a gift to thank him and wanted to continue their sessions.

Nina accused Josslyn of having a crush on “Nathan,” but Josslyn insisted it wasn’t like that.

Josslyn assured Nina that she wouldn’t interfere in “Nathan” and Lulu Spencer’s (Alexa Havins Bruening) relationship.

That said, Josslyn did find it puzzling that “Nathan” didn’t reunite with Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) since they previously seemed so in love.

Nina acted like “Nathan” was simply being the same good guy he’s always been by respecting Maxie’s decision to continue her life with Damian Spinelli (Bradford Anderson).

However, Nina felt confident that “Nathan” would always love Maxie.

At one point, Nina reflected on “Nathan” and Maxie getting handcuffed together on the Fourth of July once upon a time.

After Nina mentioned the look in Nathan’s eyes whenever he told that story, it seemed like Josslyn might be planning to use that info to test “Nathan” later.

General Hospital spoilers say Josslyn and “Nathan” have some tense moments ahead, so stay tuned.
