General Hospital (GH) spoilers update for Thursday, July 9, indicate that Jack Brennan’s (Chris McKenna) situation will leave Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) thrown for a loop.
An obstacle will also land in Willow Cain’s (Katelyn MacMullen) path while Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) does some digging.
At Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) and Jordan Ashford’s (Tanisha Harper) apartment, Martin Grey (Michael E. Knight) will weigh in on Curtis’ case and whether he thinks he can get him acquitted.
Although Martin can’t guarantee that Curtis will be found not guilty at trial, he may think it’s worth the risk.
The alternative is a two-year prison plea deal, so Curtis doesn’t want to accept it.
Even if Curtis scored parole in eight months, it would still mean missing out on valuable time with his newborn.
While Martin pitches his courtroom strategy to Curtis, GH spoilers say Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota) will fume over someone selling him out.
That could be Jordan since she’s on the verge of spilling secrets and should face Sidwell’s fury for her betrayal according to summer preview spoilers.
Over with ADA Justine Turner (Nazneen Contractor), it looks like she’ll consider ending her clandestine romance with Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard), but she may decide she can’t resist him in the end.
Next, Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) will land on the hot seat, so Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) will likely back her into a corner and push her to admit she’s the one setting up Willow.
That setup will remain on Chase’s mind as well since he’s convinced that Willow is innocent.
Chase will confront Lucy Coe (Lynn Herring) over the witness statement she gave to the cops regarding Willow’s whereabouts the night of the crash.
That’ll give Chase a chance to try and poke holes in Lucy’s version of events.
At home, Elizabeth will be stunned and confused when she reads about Brennan’s release from Turning Woods.
Brennan’s miraculous recovery following his “stroke” won’t make any sense to Liz, especially since she’ll learn he walked right out of the facility on his own two feet.
While Elizabeth and Lucas Jones (Van Hansis) discuss Brennan recovering so quickly, Willow and Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) will have some other drama to contend with.
Although Brennan claimed he had evidence against Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) locked in his office, that may not be the case anymore now that Ross Cullum (Andrew Hawkes) took his black box and put it who knows where.
Willow may face a roadblock when it comes to getting the Drew leverage she needs, but she’ll still hope Brennan can make it happen.
Since Brennan owes Nina his life, he’ll indeed vow to get Willow the dirt she’s waiting for.
General Hospital spoilers say Brennan will face some challenges when it comes to delivering on that promise, so don’t miss all the action.
