The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal that Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn) is facing some serious legal problems right now, so he could certainly use his trusted attorney’s help.
Will Mishael Morgan reprise her role as Amanda Sinclair and make a Genoa City comeback?
When Cane was arrested in the May 6 episode, he assured Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) that Amanda would post his bail.
Amanda’s name is coming up again since she’s obviously still Cane’s lawyer, so she may be needed for a trial if the case makes it that far.
Of course, Cane is facing other challenges in the meantime that Amanda could prove helpful with.
Lily is desperate to get bone-marrow-donor Cane to New York for Malcolm Winters’ (Shemar Moore) sake, but things are tricky since he could be considered a flight risk.
Cane may not be allowed to leave the state, but Lily’s hoping to work out a travel solution – like an ankle monitor or a police escort who could accompany and watch over Cane on his trip.
Amanda may do some legal maneuvering to pitch in with all this, even if it happens off-screen.
However, if Cane can’t wiggle out of these charges and courtroom scenes are coming up down the road, it’s possible
Mishael Morgan will return as Amanda Sinclair and fight for Cane’s freedom.
Amanda is an amazing attorney with a fantastic track record, so Cane will be in good hands with her in charge of his defense.
It’s also possible Amanda will help Cane work out a deal to throw Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) under the bus, even if that means betraying a friend.
Amanda’s job has to come first in situations like this, so Phyllis could end up facing news of a major betrayal.
Naturally, we can think of another excellent reason to bring Amanda back to Genoa City for a while.
Devon Winters (Bryton James) and Abby Winters (Melissa Ordway) are struggling with marriage issues, so there’s the potential for some cheating if this keeps up.
Abby has already been reconnecting with Daniel Romalotti Jr. (Michael Graziadei) and leaning on him a bit.
That’s led to speculation that these former flames might be headed for sizzling territory again.
Devon could easily find himself drifting toward an ex of his own if Amanda reenters the picture.
Sparks could fly for Amanda and Devon once more depending on where Y&R wants to take things between them.
Bottom line, it’d be wonderful to see Mishael Morgan return as Amanda Sinclair, especially since there’d be multiple ways for Amanda to get involved in the drama.
