The Young and the Restless (Y&R) recap for Monday, August 3, indicates that Dr. Laurence Markham’s (Jere Burns) fate will be revealed while Noah Newman (Lucas Adams) makes an announcement about going back to Los Angeles with Sienna Bacall (Tamara Braun).
At Crimson Lights, Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) will surprise Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) when she pops up and admits she was released on a court order this morning.
Mariah will admit she’s already been home, where she reconnected with Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks) and Aria Porter-Copeland (Maddie and Millie Ingle) off-screen.
Although Mariah will be nervous about Devon Winters (Bryton James) and Abby Winters’ (Melissa Ordway) reaction to the news of her release, Sharon will want to focus on her daughter being free and doing so well.
Once Noah comes along and reunites with Mariah, she’ll get the scoop on Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) landing in rehab because of the fentanyl Matt Clark (Roger Howarth) got him hooked on.
Y&R fans will also see some scenes of Nick tossing and turning in rehab, where he’ll have a nightmare about taking more drugs and being unable to save Noah from a grim fate.
As for Noah, he’ll surprise Sharon and Mariah by revealing that he’s headed back to Los Angeles with Sienna.
Noah will argue that it’s temporary, but he’ll think it’s for the best as long as Matt is hanging around Genoa City.
Although Sharon will miss Noah, she’ll think this is the right call since she won’t believe Matt’s changed act either.
As for The Shadow Room, Noah will plan to run it remotely and will have some ideas when it comes to hiring someone for day-to-day duties.
At the GCAC, Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) will pop in for a quick meal before he heads back to the office, so Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) will invite him to join her.
Kyle will be glad to hear about Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) getting her sight back and will admit Jack Abbott’s (Peter Bergman) recovery is going well along with his reunion with Diane Jenkins Abbott (Susan Walters).
Although Victoria will think they should let it all go and focus on a ceasefire, Kyle won’t be willing to just forgive and forget when it comes to the way Victor targeted his family.
At the ranch, Nikki will ask Victor if they can take a trip to Venice, so he’ll get on board with the idea.
Victoria will find out about Victor and Nikki’s vacation plans when she shows up later.
At the park café, Jack will get a phone call from Detective James Burrow (Matt Cohen).
Once Jack hangs up, he’ll tell Diane that Dr. Markham got arrested after the cops caught him at the summer home they found out about.
Patty Williams (Stacy Haiduk) was also sent to a maximum-security psych ward to await trial, so Jack will assure Diane that there’s no chance of her escaping.
Since Diane will want to take some time to enjoy their reunion, Jack will agree to put aside his desire for revenge on Victor – at least for now.
However, Kyle will pop up and want to discuss how they’re going to hit back at Victor hard.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Kyle’s vengeful desires could get him in trouble if he’s not careful, so stay tuned.
