The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal that Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) is looking forward to tying the knot with Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) and eventually welcoming their baby into the world.
Since Billy is definitely in celebratory mode right now, he may decide they should have an engagement party and share that joy with those closest to them.
There’s plenty of time between now and the upcoming October wedding, so the show might as well have another big event in between.
Billy and Sally’s engagement bash could easily set the stage for some drama.
Since it looks like Eileen Davidson is set to reprise her role as Ashley Abbott soon, Ashley could be on the guest list along with other Abbotts.
Sally doesn’t have a ton of people to invite, but you can bet Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver) would attend to help celebrate the good news.
Of course, there could be trouble if Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) inadvertently crashes the party or something along those lines.
It’s also possible Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn) could blow up the bash after Billy makes a move against Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) and tries to go after Chancellor.
We could certainly imagine Y&R having angry Cane cause a scene and ruin the mood.
Sally might even have some sort of baby-related scare at this event depending on how things play out.
It’s tough to believe Sally’s pregnancy will go off without a hitch, so there could be some unsettling moments somewhere down the line.
Regardless, it’s reasonable to think Sally and Billy might have an engagement celebration at some point.
It’ll be a long time before Billy and Sally’s wedding airs if they even make it to the altar, so an engagement party would keep the action going until then.
As for Sally and Billy’s relationship, they’ll have some conflict to tackle.
It sounds like Billy’s former Chancellor obsession is going to come back around and become an issue in his romance with Sally.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Sally and Billy will have more problems to deal with, but an engagement bash might be a nice distraction!
