The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers hint that Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) and Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) could have some unfinished business in the bedroom.
Could that be what finally reignites Matt Clark’s (Roger Howarth) sinister side and causes him to revert to his wicked ways?
Phyllis is definitely drawn to Matt, but Nick has always been a bit of a weak spot for her.
No matter how much time passes or how many new lovers come along, there’s always going to be a connection between Nick and Phyllis.
That’s partly because Phyllis and Nick share Summer Newman (last played by Allison Lanier) as their daughter, but they also share years of history and hot chemistry that they can never truly shake.
Nick and Phyllis aren’t together anymore, but even Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) had to ask about her brother’s lingering feelings in Y&R’s July 21 episode.
Victoria wondered if Nick was jealous based on his reaction to Phyllis’ involvement with Matt, but he obviously denied it.
However, Nick may indeed be experiencing some jealousy mixed in with protectiveness for Phyllis and disdain for Matt.
All of that could build to trouble if Nick eventually pounces on Phyllis and perhaps launches a passionate moment of his own with her.
We could certainly imagine Nick using Phyllis as a distraction from his family problems and desire to do drugs as well.
Nick might find himself desperate for a release and eager to distract Phyllis from Matt.
If that happens, Matt might catch Phyllis and Nick in a compromising position.
It seems like Matt’s frustration is already driving him back down a dangerous road, so that’s something to keep in mind.
Phyllis may succeed in convincing Matt to stay in town, but that could spark disaster if she betrays him by letting Nick in her bed!
It could revive Matt’s worst impulses and lead to him unleashing his wrath on Genoa City again sooner or later.
