The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers hint that Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) and Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) could be taking a big risk with their current plot to get Newman Enterprises back.
Y&R fans know Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) and Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn) were arrested over the emails and any other incriminating documents, which were fabricated using the new AI program that Victor had developed.
This was all Victor’s idea, but Victoria is his right-hand woman and is responsible for handing the bogus proof over to Christine Blair Romalotti (Lauralee Bell).
In other words, Victoria is just as deep in this deception as Victor is. If this plan blows up in their faces, both Victor and Victoria could end up getting arrested.
It’s true that Phyllis and Cane really did team up to steal Newman before their alliance fell apart.
Of course, Phyllis eventually chloroformed Cane to stop him from signing Newman back over to Victor and took control of it herself.
Even so, the proof itself is phony, so that could be a problem. Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc) knows that Phyllis’ best defense strategy is proving that the evidence is fabricated.
Michael is already on Victor’s bad side for representing Phyllis, but things could get even worse if he indeed proves Victor and Victoria’s claims aren’t legit.
It doesn’t matter what Phyllis actually did; it only matters if that proof can truly hold up in court.
If the evidence is ultimately determined to be manufactured, Victoria and Victor could be the ones in handcuffs next.
Phyllis would certainly love the chance to turn the tables with Michael’s help and watch a couple of satisfying perp walks.
Naturally, the charges wouldn’t stick for long. The Newmans never pay for much of anything, so Victor and Victoria could wiggle out of any legal issues in the end.
Y&R fans can expect Victor to regain control of his family business and win eventually, but it’d be fun to see some double Newman arrest news in the meantime!
Whatever the case, The Young and the Restless spoilers say Phyllis, Cane, and maybe even Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) will continue to deal with Newman-related problems for now.
