The Young and the Restless (Y&R) recap for Wednesday, July 8, reveals that Patty Williams (Stacy Haiduk) will sneak in Jack Abbott’s (Peter Bergman) room with a fatal plan while Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) lashes out at Jill Abbott (Lauren Koslow) until she ends up in tears.
At the park café, Billy will join Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) and Jill, who’ll question why he isn’t working at Spectra-Charles Media and seem wary of him accepting a job working under Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn).
Billy will call Jill out for treating Chancellor like another child who gets far more attention than him.
Since Jill only comes around when there’s Chancellor drama, Billy will blast her for not really caring about his life.
Billy will seem eager for Jill to head back to London, so she’ll cry and get Sally’s sympathy once he leaves.
Sally will think Billy is mostly worried about Jack right now and will suggest he’s going to come around on fixing things with Jill, but she won’t seem so sure.
At the hospital, Jack will be taken for a CT scan to determine if he has brain damage following all his blood loss.
Since that’ll take a while, Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) will convince Diane Jenkins Abbott (Susan Walters) to come home with him for a bit.
Diane will be rattled once she enters the Abbott mansion considering what just happened there, but Kyle will give her a pep talk.
Diane will ultimately dig out the wedding photo that Patty tucked away and will pack a change of clothes for Jack in hopes that he’ll eventually be discharged.
At the GCAC, Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc) will complain to Christine Blair Romalotti (Lauralee Bell) since Patty is obviously the more likely candidate when it comes to being Jack’s attacker, but Christine will insist she has to stick with the evidence against Diane.
Michael will open up to Lauren Fenmore Baldwin (Tracey E. Bregman) about the case later and acknowledge that he has to fit the pieces together to create reasonable doubt.
That’ll be a challenge since Patty did a good job of making Diane look guilty, but Lauren will have faith in him.
Although the Abbotts will have a guard outside Jack’s room, that guard will step away to grab some water and leave Jack vulnerable once his scan’s complete.
Patty will be dressed in scrubs when she sneaks inside and warns unconscious Jack that she can’t let him ruin her Diane frame-up.
Patty will whip out a syringe and prepare to make sure Jack takes her secret to the grave as Wednesday’s Y&R episode concludes.
