The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Sharon (Sharon Case) and Dylan’s (Steve Burton) marriage is on the verge of destruction. Since Dylan is on his way out at the CBS soap, it seems divorce is inevitable. A recast isn’t likely and killing Dylan off would just mean dragging this on even longer.
It’s time for Nick (Joshua Morrow), Sharon and Dylan to move on. That’s probably what this whole visitation rights thing is about. Dylan is grasping at straws, but it looks like they’re going to slip through his fingers. He’ll eventually have to let go.
Dylan may lose his fight in court or he might just drop the idea. Regardless, there’s a good chance Dylan will head off to find himself. He won’t be able to stick around and watch Nick raise the baby. Likewise, being with Sharon will cause great sorrow.
Dylan may believe this ship sailed as soon as Sharon started lying. We’re not talking about a little fib here. Sharon’s lie changed Dylan as a person. He loved being a dad and it really suited him. Now Dylan isn’t sure who he is anymore. That’s why he can’t seem to give up the dream.
Since Dylan would have better luck in court without Sharon’s involvement, he may decide to divorce her. If not, he may push for a breakup after the case ends. It won’t be long until Dylan says goodbye to Genoa City. Perhaps Paul (Doug Davidson) can score him a transfer somewhere.
Meanwhile, Sharon will wallow briefly. She’ll feel like she’s lost everything and that’s pretty much true. Mariah (Camryn Grimes) will be her one bright spot. This ordeal has actually brought them closer. Once Sharon has cried out all her tears, she’ll have to get her life together.
The Young and the Restless spoilers hint that Sharon will gain some ambition following Dylan’s departure – Sally Sussman made that clear in her TV Line interview. She’ll try to be the best version of herself. Sharon will set new goals and she’ll achieve them with some hard work. Her fresh start will lead her down a surprising path.
Someone special will end up in Sharon’s orbit. It sounds like he or she will help Sharon figure out what’s next. Y&R spoilers indicate that Sharon will finally be in a good place. That’s when she could begin to reconnect with Nick. His anger will have subsided by then.
It appears Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) won’t be a priority as The Young and the Restless moves forward. Nick and Sharon are destined for a reunion. It won’t happen overnight, but they have plenty of time to get there. Many “Shick” fans will be thrilled to see this supercouple revisited.
As a bonus, Sharon will continue to be in Christian’s life providing continuity for the child with his perceived mom. Dylan is getting a raw deal, but that’s just tough luck. Happy endings are rare and Dylan apparently isn’t going to get one. We’ll give you updates as more news comes in.
