General Hospital (GH) spoilers update for Thursday, August 8, tease that Franco Baldwin (Roger Howarth) will be horrified by what he’s just walked in on. As GH viewers know, he’s just found an unconscious Cameron Webber (William Lipton) strapped to a chair in a makeshift laboratory with Shiloh Archer (Coby Ryan McLaughlin) and Dr. Arthur Cabot (Time Winters).
It looks like Franco will quickly realize what’s going on, probably with some explanation from a gun-wielding Shiloh. Franco will be both furious and terrified as he asks if Cameron has been given Drew Cain’s (Billy Miller) memories. Fortunately, it looks like Cameron will just have been given something to render him unconscious, as GH spoilers indicate that Cameron won’t be the recipient of Drew’s memories.
Instead, GH spoilers point to Franco swapping places with Cameron and agreeing to undergo the memory mapping himself. As Drew, Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner), Jason Morgan (Steve Burton), and Damian Spinelli (Bradford Anderson) all work to track down Shiloh, one wonders if they’ll be able to find him and save Franco before the memory mapping actually takes place.
Could they possibly interrupt the procedure and save Franco from receiving Drew’s memories? That would be a fortunate outcome, but there are also some serious risks to Franco even if the procedure isn’t completed. Franco could be seriously incapacitated or become catatonic from the experimental procedure.
Meanwhile, on the new episode of General Hospital on Thursday, August 8, Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson) will be in bad shape. She’ll be unresponsive as she’s rushed to the hospital, with Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) and Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) not far behind. As GH viewers know, Sasha collapsed in Nina’s office, and this will have everything to do with the mystery substance that she ingested in Puerto Rico, thanks to Cassandra Pierce (Jessica Tuck).
But no one will know about the mystery substance, and Sasha’s medical team will surely have to do a full work-up on her to try to get to the bottom of what’s going on. Nina will plead with the doctors to help her daughter, and it appears that Lucas Jones (Ryan Carnes) will get Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) to consult on the case.
Of course, all of this is going to completely unnerve Valentin, who won’t at all be comfortable with the idea of a deep delve into Sasha’s medical history. Even something as simple as blood typing could reveal that Sasha isn’t biologically related to Nian, and that could totally blow up Valentin’s life and forever end his relationship with Nina.
Well, it certainly doesn’t look like Sasha will be quick to bounce back from whatever it is that Cassandra dosed her with. Could it be an infectious disease or virus that will require a lengthy diagnosis process? And what was Cassandra’s motivation for infecting Sasha with something? Could she possibly offer a secret antidote, but only if her terms are met?
