Miranda Kerr has always been one of the better known Victoria’s Secret models, but lately, her image has been clouded by rumors about her divorce and the causes behind it. Many people are suspecting that she cheated on Orlando Bloom with several other men, and even if the rumors aren’t true, it’s still managed to detract from her modeling career.
There’s also the fact that Miranda’s career as an Angel isn’t necessarily locked in for a long future, with earlier reports stating that Victoria’s Secret was slowly reducing their partnership with the supermodel.
So Miranda’s latest move might come as a surprise to some of you, but it makes sense on a business standpoint. She’s decided to pose in see-through lingerie for creep photographer Terry Richardson, despite the fact that many people in the fashion industry are starting to boycott him. The pictures show Miranda wearing thigh-high stockings, underwear, and a bra that pretty much reveals everything. The photos are pretty M.O. for Terry Richardson, which is to say that they are exploitative and revealing – but for some reason, models and celebrities keep flocking back for more.
Anyway, I’m not exactly sure what kind of message Miranda is trying to send out – that even though she’s divorced, her body is still in great shape? That she’s not letting her personal life affect her career? Is she trying to get another job? She can’t have *just* felt like posing with Terry for no reason, because that’s just creepy.
What do you guys think? Comparatively, this wasn’t even close to the most revealing shots Miranda has ever taken, but I assumed that having a child or recently getting divorced would make her slightly more careful about who she poses for and how she poses – but I guess when you’re a lingerie model, that’s not really in the contract.
