‘The 100’ spoilers for Season 3 Finale Episode 16 ‘Perverse Instantiation: Part Two’ on Thursday May 19 promises a “spectacular showdown” as ALIE (Erica Cerra) and Clarke Griffin (Eliza Taylor) face off in the City of Light since the battle cannot be won on the ground.
Charles Pike (Michael Beach) tells Bellamy Blake (Bob Morley) and Octavia Blake (Marie Avgeropoulos) they have to stand together or they won’t survive being trapped in Polis. Abby Griffin (Paige Turco) survived the hanging and is out of the hive. The gang killed her chip!
Clarke decides the only way for her to stop ALIE is to go into the City of Light. They need the kill code from the flame but Ontari (Rhiannon Fish) is brain dead thanks to Thelonius Jaha (Isaiah Washington). Spoilers hint that Clarke may fight ALIE by temporarily using the flame on herself.
Abby’s dechipped and may give Clarke a transfusion of night blood from Ontari. If you check out the pic below, you can see what looks like an IV line running into Clarke as she sits in the throne. The spoiler teases that the transfusion may allow Clarke to use the flame long enough to kill ALIE.
We know that Clarke also consumes a key but if she had the flame in her first and then takes the key, she should have the commander’s knowledge while in the City of Light. That would also explain why Clarke has a seizure in the trailer – her body may be rejecting the flame as the transfusion effects fade.
After Clarke ingests the key, we see Harper (Chelsey Reist), Monty Green (Christopher Larkin) and Raven Reyes (Lindsey Morgan) tracking Clarke from the computer system in Arkadia. Hilariously, Jasper Jordan (Devon Bostick) is also show in the trailer, chilling in the COL eating ice cream.
Jaha tells Clarke there’s nowhere to run as she desperately searches for what she needs to take down ALIE while the hive mind assembles in the City of Light and comes for her. John Murphy (Richard Harmon) channels Captain Obvious and says if it doesn’t work, she’ll die.
Meanwhile, back in Polis, Marcus Kane (Henry Ian Cusick) and the other chipped Grounders work their way up to the throne room. Pike warns that they’re coming and the gang make a last stand in the barricaded throne room to buy Clarke time to destroy ALIE from the inside.
‘The 100’ has been officially renewed so these finale events will set up Season 4. Will the Grounders and Skai Kru be done with ALIE for good? Since every episode of ‘The 100’ comes with death, who will buy it in the finale? Will Clarke survive the flame or will she flame out?
