Does Sam Heughan have what it takes to be the next James Bond? That’s what fans can’t help but wonder as there’s a new report that says the Scottish-born actor is being considered for the iconic role. Thanks to his role as Jamie on ‘Outlander,’ Sam Heughan is now a household name. Many fans say Scottish-born Sam Heughan would make an excellent James Bond. Fans know he would be an ideal fit. He’s one of the biggest heartthrobs on television right now, with millions of fans from all over the world.
Plus, just like James Bond, Sam has been keeping his love life a mystery. No one knows if he’s dating his co-star Caitriona Balfe in real life. Even though Sam and Caitriona have been flirting with each other for years now, they refuse to confirm their romance. It’s without a doubt that Sam wants to keep everyone guessing.
What’s more, Sam doesn’t have anything in the pipeline right now. The only work he has is on ‘Outlander.’ Fans would love to see Sam land a starring role in Hollywood. In fact, many know that it will only be a matter of time before he does.
Then again, Sam isn’t the only actor that is being considered right now. Previous reports indicated that actor Aiden Turner might be playing the next big screen 007. Aidan mysteriously dodged James Bond questions from the media during Britain’s National Television Awards this week. Many eyewitnesses say that Aidan Turner refused to confirm or deny the James Bond buzz even though he had a huge smile on his face.
Other A-list stars like actors Tom Hardy, Tom Hiddleston, and Idris Elba were also considered for the role, too. Even ‘Homeland’ star Damien Lewis is being considered for the role. So far James Bond execs haven’t made any comments about who the next James Bond will be.
