The Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber romance saga has kept us captivated throughout the second half of November. It all came to our attention after a heavily publicized break-up two weeks ago, when Bieber was spotted backstage with Barbara Palvin, a Victoria’s Secret supermodel. Then, a public dinner fiasco on the 16th of November, where Selena stormed out after a public spat, and finally, the 18th November American Music Awards, where Justin dedicated “As Long As You Love Me” to Selena. The couple was spotted partying at the official AMA after party at the JW Marriot in Los Angeles and left the hotel hand-in-hand to spend the night at Selena’s house afterwards.
On the 19th of November, yesterday, Selena and Justin were spotted at a Benihana restaurant in Encino, California, madly in love. Allegedly, Justin arrived at the famous Benihana restaurant after a workout at Equinox gym in Los Angeles, and arrived at the dinner date in gym shorts. The couple was joined by a group of friends and close confidantes at the dinner, and fortunately, for their reputations, there were no public spats and no storming out.
Selena’s no-show at the American Music Awards sent the critics scrambling for their Twitter accounts, and gave die-hard Beliebers a second opportunity at lambasting Selena. However, according to a source that is close to the couple, “It’s not that Selena didn’t want to come to the AMA’s, she just didn’t want all the attention to be on their relationship. She wanted it to be about the music and let Justin just be there for his fans. She still loves Justin. The love is still there, they just need to disappear to an exotic island together.”
As previously reported right here on Celeb Dirty Laundry, the couple is back together, so the recent sighting only solidified our theories. In the back of our sordid minds, we’re actually hoping that Selena dumps Justin for good and gets on with her life already. There’s no point in selling her soul to the boy who can’t seem to stop looking at the menu. It’s a futile exercise.
