The X-Factor USA Season 2 Top 16 Eliminations Preview Spoiler – FOX Changes Plans!

Simon Cowell’s pet project The X-Factor USA premiered its second season in September 2012, and has seen a rise in ratings and developed a sound footing in the ranks of reality television. This week it was announced that the show’s new hosts would be Khloe Kardashian and Mario Lopez who will be joining judges Simon Cowell, Demi Lavato, Britney Spears, and L.A. Reid

This week, the final judge’s house episode was cut short due to scheduling conflicts on the FOX network. While fans waited anxiously to find out who the 16 finalists would be for this year’s competition a bit of rain in the wrong place at the wrong time caused the delay of a baseball game between the St. Louis Cardinals and the San Francisco Giants. The episode, set to air for two-and a-half-hours, only aired for 75 minutes leaving 6 finalists unannounced. Judges Britney Spears (competitors aged 12-6) and L.A. Reid (competitors aged 25+) revealed their four picks, but viewers only saw two of Demi Lovato’s (competitors aged 17-24) and none of Simon Cowell’s (group competitors).

But FOX will be making it up to their fans early this coming week, at least somewhat. In addition to finally seeing Lovato’s final picks, fans will have the opportunity to re-watch an hour long version of the abbreviated episode when it airs on Tuesday October 23, 2012 at 9:30pm-10:30pm ET/PT. Fans are sure to be disappointed as it was originally reported that the FOX network planned to air the episode in its entirety.

There is some good news though. Fans can look forward to new hosts Kardashian and Lopez. If nothing else, these two can be relied upon to put on a good show. It will be interesting to see what is aired on Tuesday night. Hopefully it will be enough to appease fans and keep them hanging on through another season.
