Whitney Houston Was Already Hooked On Drugs Before She Met Bobby Brown

Not only was Whitney Houston hooked on drugs before she met Bobby Brown but she is the one who turned him onto cocaine.  It is high time we stopped blaming Bobby for Whitney’s substance abuse problems – she and her former husband were BOTH junkies.  Trying to saddle Bobby with the responsibility for Whitney’s decline is absurd.  Long after they split Whitney’s drug habit remained the dominant feature of her existence.

Her family and supporters love to blame Bobby for Whitney’s disgusting decadence because then they can pretend that she was a saint.  It is exactly that type of wrong-headed thinking that enabled Whitney to continue on killing herself for years – and ultimately succeeding.  Looking at Whitney’s death as an assisted suicide is very realistic.  Facts are that Whitney was surrounded by leeches and panderers who could neither control nor even confront her – it is THEY who contributed to her death.

The facts are shaping up to be that Whitney was into cocaine and heroin before Bobby and that she turned him on to hard drugs.  There is also evidence that Whitney never forgave her mother for preventing her from fulfilling her lesbian relationship with her first lover.  All that glitters isn’t gold and Whitney’s past in a lot more complicated than we had known.

The Globe Print Edition, March 12 has this to say about the history of Whitney’s cocaine use before she met Bobby Brown:

Incredibly, it emerges that Bobby Brown was not the one who turned Whitney onto drugs.  ‘Whitney had always indulged in smoking marijuana, supposedly so she could relax, says a source.  “There were close friends who did pot with her a long time before Bobby was around.”

According to author Kevin Ammons, the boyfriend of Whitney’s publicist Regina Brown, Whitney’s drug habit took a turn for the worse when “she started sprinkling a little cocaine in with the marijuana before she rolled a joint.”

BANG talks about Bobby blaming Whitney for getting him hooked on drugs:

Whitney Houston’s ex-husband Bobby Brown is set to claim she got him into drugs.

The 43-year-old rapper is planning to reveal the details of his life with the late singer in a book about Whitney in a follow up to the 2008 tome, ‘Bobby Brown: The Truth, the Whole Truth and Nothing But’, written after their divorce in 2007 which contained secrets about their relationship.

A gagging clause meant he could not say everything he wanted to in the first to me, but insiders now believe he is going to “cleanse himself of all responsibility” over the ‘I Will Always Love You’ hitmaker’s drug use in his forthcoming release following her death last month.

A source told the Daily Star newspaper: “Bobby knows people will buy the book, whatever it says. And unlike last time, Whitney is not here to defend herself.

“He’s free to say whatever he wants and will undoubtedly paint himself as a grieving saint.”

He has previously claimed: “I never used cocaine until after I met Whitney. She used code words when ordering drugs like ‘boy’ for heroin and ‘girl’ for cocaine.  “I was using everything I could get my hands on, from cocaine to heroin.”

Bobby – who had daughter, Bobbi Kristina Houston, 18, with Whitney – also claims he will divulge details about a previous relationship with Madonna.  He is quoted as saying: “By the time I brought out my third single I was one of the biggest stars in the world.  “Madonna used to open up shows for New Edition in New York.

“Running into her and getting to know her better at the height of my success was like a reunion.”

Whitney confessed to using “rock cocaine” and marijuana during a tell-all interview with Oprah Winfrey in 2009, it is believed her shock death at the age of 48 was caused by a lethal combination of alcohol and prescription drugs.
