Taylor Swift’s love life was a hot topic over the summer and continues to make headlines. The We Are Never Ever Ever Getting Back Together singer is a serial dater and more likely than not she is the cause of the breakups. The number one reason celebrity couples break up is the distance between them when they are working. Not much is written about the other reason these couples part ways like personality conflicts or unreasonable demands.
Taylor seems like the type of woman who despite having a string of relationships is immature and inexperienced in relationships. Taylor was a guest on the daytime show Katie on October 25 and revealed “I don’t know how to have a normal relationship because I try to act normal, love from a normal place and live a normal life, but there is sort of an abnormal magnifying glass, like telescope lens, on everything that happens between me and anybody else. I don’t really know that much about love, it turns out.”
Taylor’s life has been anything but normal. At the age of nine she started taking vocal and acting lessons in New York City as well as going on auditions for Broadway productions. Taylor later took an interest in country music after not getting anywhere in New York City. She played anywhere she could find a gig. At the age of fourteen Taylor asked her parents to move the family from Pennsylvania to Nashville so she could pursue a music career. She soon landed a development deal with RCA, recorded her debut album and hit the road. Taylor was home schooled to accommodate her work schedule. I can imagine that Taylor not having a conventional childhood and working with adults from such a young age made it hard for her to relate to people her own age, let alone learn the ropes of dating most of us experienced in junior high and high school.
Taylor is very pretty and she seems very sweet. But I can’t help wonder if she dates guys just to have song writing material. Think about the guys she has dated…Joe Jonas, Taylor Lautner and John Mayer. All of these guys were featured very heavily in celebrity publications. The scrutiny on the relationships must have been crushing in addition to the distance thing. John Mayer in particular would be a good subject for a song being that he himself is a serial dater with a reputation for being a major jerk.
When I read that Taylor bought a house next to the Kennedy family after only dating Conor Kennedy for a few weeks it gave me the impression she likes to move fast and makes future plans without really knowing her boyfriend. That would scare off any guy! I’m not the only person who thinks Taylor is the problem in her relationships. In August TMZ posted a video on their website of Harvey Levin talking to his staff. He mentions how crazy Taylor is and that guys should stay away from her! He noted that she likes to trash her ex boyfriends in her songs and that is not cool. Even if Taylor was mentally stable I would not recommend my friends or my brother date her. I wouldn’t want them to be trashed in one of her hate songs. That alone is enough to stay away from her!
