AMBER HOLCOMB performed “What Are You Doing The Rest Of Your Life?” by Michael Dees/Barbra Streisand for her Top 5 AMERICAN IDOL “Contestants’ Birth Year – 1994” performance tonight.  Did you watch tonight’s show? We did and we recapped it here for you.   The stakes are high, each of the remaining ladies wants to be crowed the winner of American Idol, so they will certainly be bringing their “A” game tonight.

The theme for tonight’s song choices are “Divas” and songs from the contestants’ birth year.  We are expecting some fantastic performances tonight from the ladies.

On last week’s show Amber sang two songs, the first “Love On Top” by Beyonce.  Mariah said America loves her just like the crowd. She was happy, but it wasn’t her favorite vocal from her.  For her second song she chose, “I Say A Little Prayer,” Burt Bacharach/Dionne Warwick.  Nicki said she is bowing down for her right now. She is unbelievable and she has just become her absolute favorite in the competition.

On tomorrow night’s result show one woman’s IDOL journey will end. Also, Grammy-winning artist, Broadway star and Season Three winner of AMERICAN IDOL, Fantasia, will perform her new single, “Lose To Win,” and Season Two runner-up Clay Aiken also will perform.

Check out the video below and let us know what you thought of Amber’s “Birth Year – 1994” performance tonight? Was it enough for her to stick around another night? Sound out in the comments below and let us know your thoughts.

  1. patricia pruitt starks says:

amber is still mh #1 favorite. She is young n shy but super naturally talented n with s little help, the sky could be the limit for her!!

  2. Amber is definitely my winner. The others are completely unmemorable including their names…the 1 with the piano, not a good voice, the blonde country girl, ordinary, the big black girl, also ordinary, that voice is many other big black girls, the white big girl with the pretty face, good voice, but not special, if I heard any of them aside from Amber on the radio there would be nothing that would stand out. Amber has a voice that could only be Amber…and she is the only one who has that.

  3. Amber is the bomb! She’s an unbelievable talent, comfortable in singing the American Song Classics and she’s only 19!!! What kind of irony is that, growing up barefoot in Texas, yet able to handle the delicate phrasing of a Lorenz Hart Broadway classic, “My Funny Valentine.” and knock it out of the park.
