The Kardashians have enough family members to add to a carnival stall, but that doesn’t stop them from adding new tricks to their arsenal of rehearsed set pieces and tainted one-liners. According to In Touch, the horror that is the Kardashians will be adding Bruce Jenner’s son from his second marriage, Brody Jenner, to the already stifled mix of carnies. A production insider revealed, “Brody Jenner is going to be a full-time cast member on the next season of Keeping Up With The Kardashians.”
When Kim, Kourtney, and Khloe Kardashian were still anonymous bitches with dreams of becoming Hollywood’s elite, Brody Jenner was already starring in his own reality show called The Princes of Malibu. This ambiguous television show, brimming with egotistical money-hoarders, placed Brody on the map of reality television stardom. Soon after, he guest featured/starred in MTV’s quasi-reality show, The Hills, alongside the now famous Lauren Conrad. Four years after this explosive reality television debut, Jenner hosted and produced his own MTV reality show called Bromance, but instead of following “real-life” reality TV rules, he opted instead for a vanilla reality TV format and had “contestants” compete to become a “member of his entourage”.

Jenner’s addition to the Kardashian formula is an ingenious move. He is already super famous on the reality television circuit, so not only will his appearance on the Kardashians’ reality show draw huge numbers, but it might also give birth to a new Kardashian reality show spin-off. This re-branding of the already tired format of Keeping Up With The Kardashians could re-establish the role the show plays in modern pop culture, and could, if everything goes according to plan, catapult the Kardashians to unimaginable success.
As the saying goes, “There’s nothing as popular and as valuable as a reality television throwback appearance.”
