Whenever celebrities demonstrate diva behavior, I’m never surprised. In fact, it surprises me when they don’t. Which is why when I read the new report about Christina Aguilera throwing a temper tantrum over a large drinks bill, I wasn’t surprised in the slightest.
Keep in mind, the source of this report is the National Enquirer, but a ‘source’ tells the Enquirer that Christina was recently at a gay bar named Eleven in West Hollywood when she decided to buy drinks for a bunch of her male fans. But when she received a $500 bill, she was reportedly left angry and shocked.
The source explains, “Flabbergasted when the bartender handed her the hefty bill, she whined, ‘Really?…You want me to pay for all these drinks? I thought I’d be comped’. The bartender apologized and told her he’d love to pick up her tab, but he’s not the owner and he’d be fired if he did!”
Apparently, she paid and then angrily ‘stormed out’. Again, totally not surprised. This isn’t new behavior for celebrities, and it certainly isn’t new behavior for Aguilera. When she was younger, there were tons of reports floating around about her entitled diva behavior, both in public and during professional events.
Of course, when you decide to buy drinks for a bunch of random strangers when you’re hammered, it should be common sense that you will end up getting a huge bill. The fact that she was so surprised is ridiculous. What did she expect? Plus, is $500 really a big deal for her? She probably makes that amount in a minute’s worth of work.
