I love how when you give a story a little bit of time it often unfolds very differently that you first expect and that is exactly what has happened with Clint Eastwood’s divorce scandal. At first it looked like his wife of 17 years, Dina Ruiz was having an affair with former high school sweetheart, Scott Fisher and that he was the odd man out. That is actually not at all the case according to the Sept. 30th print edition of National Enquirer.
Sources claim that it was actually Scott’s former wife, Erica Tomlinson Fisher that made the first move in the whole wife swap situation. She pitched a script to Clint and while doing so completely charmed him, so much so that they two were (somehow) hooking up as early as last March. At one point they were spotted having dinner together by one of Dina’s friends’ and she was given a heads up. She and her daughter Morgan drove to the restaurant and there was a blowout between Erica and Dina. That actually is what ended the marriage and it was also a turning point for Dina’s relationship with Scott. Supposedly they were in the friendzone until they realized that Erica and Clint were hot and heavy.
This public clash also explains why 16-year old Morgan Eastwood is completely on her mother’s side in the divorce proceedings. It was also around this time that Dina was rehabbed for something or other and the depression was likely in part because of catching her husband cheating.
