Tonight’s special two hour episode of Grimm starts off with Adalind meeting with the Prince. He wants a list of everyone who she thinks may have been involved in his brother’s death.

Back in Portland a man is ransacking someone’s home, and taking anything valuable. The homeowner returns, and finds their house a complete mess. The intruder is still in the house. The man that owns the house tries to defend himself with a kitchen knife, but the intruder transforms into a beast and overpowers him.

Nick and Hank arrive at the crime scene, the homeowner has been slaughtered. Nick realizes that the attacker had to be big, and very strong. They head back to the office to do some research. They realize that there have been multiple break-ins in the neighborhood, but this is the first time the homeowner has arrived during the break-in.

Nick talks to the medical examiner. According to her the cause of death was a broken neck, and that his attacker literally shook him to death. That is why his arm was torn off.

A construction worker is lowered into a drainage pipe. He finds a huge blockage, a tree branch. He radios up for a chain saw to remove it. He hears footsteps, someone else is underground with him. His crew tries to pull him back up when they hear a strange noise. They pull the rope back up, but the construction worker is dead, and missing a leg.

Back in Vienna Renard and Sebastien are receiving a package. The messenger reveals that Renard’s cousin Prince Victor is in town, and wants to meet with him.

Nick and Hank arrive at the drainage pipe, where the construction worker was murdered underground. Nick, Hank, and Sgt. Wu head underground into the sewer pipes to investigate the scene of death. They locate the construction workers severed leg, and several other random purses and backpacks. They head back to the office and trace all of the items they found underground to burglaries that have been reported recently. They also find Scott, the murdered homeowner’s gym card in the pipes.

Nick and Hank head to Monroe’s to see what he thinks about the beast they are looking for. Monroe thinks the beast may be an alligator Wesen, known as a Gelumcaedus. Juliette, Rosalee, Monroe, Nick, and Hank hit the Grimm books to learn more about the Gelumcaedus. They date back to historic Rome where they were trained to guard the aqueducts. There is a special weapon known as a “vambrace” that is used to defeat Gelumcaedus, luckily Nick has one of those weapons. Now, Nick and Hank are going to have to head back down underground and find the beast so they can stop it. Nick thinks Gelumcaedus uses the tunnels as getaways after he breaks into houses. Nick heads back to his trailer to grab the vambrace before they head underground. Nick has a flashback when he puts on the weapon, of when he was zombified.

Nick and Hank are suit up and head into the tunnel where they think the Gelumcaedus may be hiding. They are able to track down the beast, but he is too fast, and they lose him. Nick decides to retrace his steps. Nick stops when he hears ticking, coming from a secret, concealed door in the tunnel wall. Against Hank’s wishes the pair enters the secret door. And find a room filled with hundreds of stolen clocks and other valuables. They also locate the Gelumcaedus. Thankfully Nick has on the vambrace and they are able to subdue the beast.

In Vienna a man is being beaten and interrogated. Renard is introduced to the man doing the beating, he saved Renard’s mother once.

Back in Portland, Nick and Hank have brought the Gelumcaedus into questioning, his name is Gregoric. He is a professional burglar, and has a buyer down in Florida. He is less than cooperative, he is cocky and tells Nick to stop “bothering him.” Hank heads home, but Nick stays to do some more investigating. When Hank arrives at home, Nick gives him a call and tells him that he thinks there are two Gelumcaedas. Some of the robberies were at the same time, and there is no way Gregoric could be in two places at once.

As soon as Hank hangs up the phone with Nick, a Gelumcaedus appears behiing him and hits him over the head. He drags his unconscious body back to the sewer. Nick was right. Gregoric has a partner.

Nick heads to Hank’s house, but he doesn’t answer the door. Nick receives a phone call, from Gregoric’s partner. He tells Nick he wants to make an exchange, he will give Hank back when Nick brings Gregoric back. Nick grabs Gregoric from his jail cell and heads to the sewer pipes. They head down into the pipes to make the exchange.

Nick is in trouble though. Gregoric didn’t have just one partner, he had three. They are all brothers. They plan to kill Nick. Hank gets free and helps Nick defeat the Gelumcaedus. They save Gregoric so they can take him back to precinct and charge him with the recent murders.

It’s time for the second episode of Grimm, and it is Christmas in Portland. Two teen boys are breaking into a car and stealing all of the Christmas presents out of it. They take their loot back under the bridge where they obviously live, and begin destroying the Christmas presents. Santa Claus crashes their party. But, it’s not your average Santa. It’s some sort of beast with horns. He kills one of the boys, and then runs off, with a woman kicking and screaming for help in his sack.

A man is driving in Austria when he is stopped at a road block. He hops out of the car and shoots all of the cops, and then continues on his way. Then, he arrives at the house Renard is hiding in. He is an ally of Renard.

Monroe and Rosalee are preparing for their day. Rosalee leaves for work, and then Juliette sneaks in the backdoor. Juliette and Monroe are planning a surprise for her.

In Austria Renard and his allies are meeting about the Prince’s death. Renard reveals that he has a Grimm in his back-pocket and plans to use him to stop the royal families.

Nick and Hank are investigating the murder scene under the bridge. Nick is baffled by a lump of coal that he finds under the bridge. Sgt. Wu climbs into an abandoned car to get a closer look at the body of the teenage boy, and the boy begins screaming, he is obviously not dead.

Monroe and Juliette are working on Rosalee’s surprise. Monroe is surprising Juliette with Christmas decorations, and he needs Juliette to help him set them all up before Rosalee returns.

Nick and Hank head to the hospital to check on the teenage boy they found under the bridge, his name is Derrick. Nick asks him what happened last night under the bridge. And, they want to know where his friend Quinn is. Derrick says someone took his friend Quinn. Then he sees a Santa Claus in the hospital hallway and starts screaming hysterically. He was obviously traumatized by the killer Santa under the bridge the night before.

Another teenage boy is stealing Christmas presents, he snatches a bag of gifts from a woman and runs to a parking garage. While he is opening the gifts, the evil Santa with horns appears, and snatches him. He places him in his sack kicking and screaming, and then drops a lump of coal in the parking garage. A man witnessed the entire scene.

In Austria Renard is sneaking into Adalind’s room. He leaves her a letter.

Nick and Hank are trying to track down Derrick’s friend Quinn Baxter. His Dad hasn’t seen him since last night. He gives Nick and Hank a photo of Quinn.

Hank and Nick receive a phone call, a man called 911 when he seen Santa stuffing a man in a bag in the parking garage.

Rosalee arrives at home, and finds her house decked out in Christmas trees, twinkly lights, and trains and nutcrackers. Rosalee doesn’t seem as excited as Monroe hoped she would be. She reveals to Monroe that she has never been “much for Holiday stuff.” She looks devastated by all of the decorations. She confesses that Christmas was a big deal when she was growing up, until her Aunt and Uncle were killed on Christmas. Monroe feels horrible.

Nick and Hank arrive at the parking garage to investigate the Santa Claus abduction. The witness tells Sgt. Wu that the Santa he saw taking the boy was not your normal Santa, he looked like something out of a nightmare.

Nick grabs a nearby hot dog vendor dressed as Santa, when he realizes he is a Jackyl. The Santa tries to run, but Nick tackles him and cuffs him. Of course all the children on the street begin crying hysterically because he is taking Santa to jail.

Adalind receives Renard’s note, he has asked her to meet him at a café. And, he warned her that there are cameras in her room watching her every move.

Monroe sneaks out of bed in the middle of the night and takes down ALL of the Christmas decorations (all 42 boxes worth).

Nick wakes up to see his face plastered all over the news, he assaulted Santa and roughed him up on camera.

Nick and Hank head to the precinct. Sgt. Wu had an analysis done on the lumps of coal that Nick and Hank found at the crime scenes. They are from the North Pole.

Rosalee feels terrible about ruining Monroe’s Christmas. She has tea with Juliette and confesses how bad she feels about Monroe’s Christmas decorations.

Nick and Hank head to Monroe’s house to get his insight on the Santa Claus kidnappings. They mention the coal and Monroe realizes they are referring to “Krampus.” According to legend Krampus takes all the “naughty” boys and girls to the tallest tree in town, and then he hangs them from the tree and beats them with a whip. At midnight he eats them.

Nick, Hank, and Monroe try to find “the tallest tree in the tallest spot” to stop Krampus from eating Quinn and the other kids. They head out in the woods, with their annoying friend Bud, and pick up the Krampus’s tracks. Nick hears the kids’ voices. They find a tree with half a dozen kids hanging from it in little wooden baskets. Hank, Bud, and Monroe cut the kids down while Nick heads into the woods to find the Krampus. Krampus overpowers Nick, and chokes him. Nick’s face turns into a zombie, and he takes Krampus down with once hit. Hank, Monroe, and Bud arrive. At midnight, the krampus transforms into a man. The man has no idea where he is, and he has no idea what he is. He is from Salt Lake City and has no recollection of what happened. He says that he blacks out every December, until Winter Solstice. Nick wants to turn the case over to the Wesen Council, because he knows he will never get a conviction on court. Hank and Monroe agree.

Monroe heads home, and finds his entire living-room decked out in Christmas decorations again. Rosalee felt guilty about Monroe taking them down, so she hung them all back up.
