Harry Styles and Robert Pattinson were spotted having a drink together, and the Internet decided to melt down. Combining a couple of the craziest fandoms online – Twilight and One Direction [which often overlap] – is a recipe for mass hysteria, so I can only imagine what will happen if the two become close friends.
Several fans spotted Harry and Rob at Hollywood hot spot Chateau Marmont, where Rob is usually hanging out with his friends. A fan who saw them tweeted, “Harry Styles was at the Chateau Marrmont Hotel!!! With Robert Pattinson having a drink and talking. They argued over who was paying.”
Another fan tweeted, “So all that drama outside Chateau Marmont was cuz Harry Styles & Robert Pattinson were just there spotted together #WestHollywood #WhoCares.”
There are usually tons of paparazzi out of Chateau Marmont, so Harry and Rob clearly didn’t care about privacy – or at least, it wasn’t a priority. According to witnesses who were present, Harry and Rob nearly got mobbed by both fans and paps when they exited the hotel, but the curious part to me is what they were even doing together in the first place. As far as we know, the two aren’t particularly close friends nor have they worked together on a project.
Well, it’s Hollywood. I’m sure there are plenty of places that the two could have met, and they’re both British – and the British contingent in the industry tends to stick together. And while Harry’s not 21 years old yet, I’m sure there were exceptions made for him. Chateau Marmont pretty much caters to famous celebrities before anybody else.
