When Teen Mom 2 fans first heard about Jenelle Evan’s new boyfriend Nathan Griffith last spring, he seemed almost too good to be true. What was a semi-pro football player and model who moonlit as an MMA fighter doing on the dating site Plenty Of Fish (where she claims she met him)? You would think that he has no problem picking up girls.
Well, there is a pretty good chance that Nathan Griffith is “too good to be true.” Fans have been speculating for a while that Nathan Griffith was hired by MTV to play the part of Jenelle Evan’s boyfriend on Season 5 of Teen Mom 2. At first that theory seemed a little far-fetched. Judging by the constant stream of men coming and going in Jenelle’s life, why would they need to buy her a boyfriend for Season 5? Rumor has it that MTV and Jenelle wanted a man in Jenelle’s life that was a little less scandalous than her hubby Courtland Rogers. Ironically, the Season 5 trailer of Teen Mom 2 was released this week and Courtland was completely cut from Jenelle’s storyline and will not be appearing in Season 5.
Nathan Griffith, Jenelle’s current boyfriend-for-hire, has listed the company “Exceed Images” on his Facebook account as an employer of his. Exceed Images had multiple photos of Nathan Griffith posted on their website and claimed he was their “top model.” Within days of Jenelle announcing that she had a new boyfriend named Nathan Griffith, the photos of Griffith in his underwear disappeared from Exceed’s website.
Michael Ray, the owner of Exceed Images took to twitter this week to announce that his “top model” Nathan Griffith had landed a job on MTV’s series Teen Mom 2 and could be seen in the Season 5 trailer. When Teen Mom 2 fans began questioning Michael Ray and Exceed Images on Twitter about his “top model” Nathan’s involvement in Season 5 he stated that “Mums the word on our favorite model Nathan Griffith’s appearance this season. We are only allowed to say ‘stay tuned.’” When asked whether MTV paid Griffith to play the part of “Jenelle’s boyfriend,” Ray was unable to confirm or deny but stated he was “under contract.” For some reason, Michael rushed to delete all of the tweets about Nathan Griffith possibly being paid to act as Jenelle’s boyfriend, but we were able to track down some photos of the conversation.
It definitely looks like Jenelle’s boyfriend Nathan Griffith was hand-selected by MTV to play the part of her boyfriend in Teen Mom 2 Season 5.
