After nearly a year of secretly seeing each other, Prince Harry went public with his relationship with Cressida Bonas. But why now? Was his embracing Cress on the ski slopes in Verbier fuelled by booze? It seems like that could be a reason. Haz is very secretive about his private life. Why on earth would he let the world know he’s been seeing Cress if he wasn’t drunk? Explains much. His inhibitions were down and he wasn’t thinking clearly, as per usual, and he embraced C. The night before the pics were snapped he’d been out drinking till 3:30AM – he’d even climbed through a rear window of the club to avoid photographers snapping pics of him with Cress.
‘He was off his face by the time he even arrived here,’ a member of staff told the Mail. ‘They kept him in a booth in the nightclub and pulled a curtain around it but he kept trying to escape. He even took his shirt off.’
So why would he be so public about his relationship with Cress the next day when he’d clearly been avoiding the photogs the night before? His old friend – alcohol, of course. He was hungover or still drunk and let his guard drop with C on the slopes, even though I’m sure he was well aware there were paparazzi around.
Or the whole thing could just be a PR stunt. Harry going public with Cressida smacks of PR to get the press talking about him instead of Hillary Mantel dissing Kate Middleton and her and Prince William’s endless luxury holidays. Harry’s also due to be in Lesotho on Monday to promote his charity Sentebale, and he’ll be going to the States soon, too. The new girlfriend story will help to promote his charitable character instead of his hard partying altar ego. Being in a relationship while in the States again will definitely do good to his image because there will be no chance for scandalous news of him going out with women while visiting the country. Instead, the papers will be publishing disgustingly sweet rubbish about Harry calling Cressida every single day to tell her how much he misses her.
These two are very confusing. Harry’s always whining about not finding his princess, and Cress tells pals Haz isn’t her type. We’ll see what happens at the wedding of Cress’s half sister, Isabella Calthorpe and Sam Branson in South Africa soon. Cress is obviously going to see her sister wed Sam, and Haz is supposedly a guest of honor – whatever that means.
