Emmy Award winning THE AMAZING RACE returns to CBS tonight with a new episode called, “Your Tan is Totally Cool.” On tonight’s show in Detour B, Newlyweds Katie and Max must gather the ingredients and then make a Vietnamese soup called Pho Ga in order to receive the next clue. Did you watch last week’s premiere episode? We did and we recapped it here for you.
On last week’s show the race continued in Bali, Indonesia and the stress of the Race brought one Racer to tears and another Team made history while trying to avoid elimination. At the end Jessica & John finally arrive at the Pit Stop with the right board, they were the last team to arrive and were eliminated with an Express Pass that was never used – dumb. John goes down as one of the dumbest players in Amazing Race history, he should have listened to Jessica when she said to use the Express Pass after they left Fruity Bottom.
On tonight’s show the game gets personal as Teams face a Double U-Turn in Hanoi, Vietnam, and one Team faces crushing news. One team will quit and double U-turn could send two teams home.

RECAP: The last paradise on earth, Bali, is the start of the fifth leg, Dave & Connor are first to leave and they are headed to Vietnam. When they arrive, they must head to the middle of town to Rap Con Nhan. Teams need to caution on this leg, their is a U-Turn ahead. Pam & Winnie are thrilled because they think they can get ahead of the pack this leg. Mona & Beth are planning on running this leg hard because they think they are targets to be U-Turned. All teams are now making their way to Hanoi, Vietnam. Teams are arriving in the city and they realize they have a long wait till the morning. All teams, except for Pam & Winnie think Dave & Connor went to see a doctor and are still in the race. Meanwhile, Dave & Connor have gone to meet Phil at the mat to tell him that they are done in the race.
RoadBlock, a member of each team has to watch a performance of a patriotic song, then they have to mesmerize a phrase and find it on a poster located in another room. Pam is the first person to finish and she and Winnie are now headed to Thong Nat to do a bamboo dance and get their next clue. Chuck & Wynona are in second place, the rest of the teams are finished as well and headed to join Pam & Winnie.
It’s time for a Detour, teams must choose between Make Your Move, a favorite Vietnamese game using human pieces in a chest game or Make Your Meal where they have to prepare a traditional dish. Pam & Winnie decide to play chess, while Chuck & Wynona are still having a hard time with the bamboo dance.
Pam & Winnie are finished their chess game and now have to head to the B-52 Memorial. Max & Katie decided to Make Your Meal and find that getting all the ingredients for their dish is not that easy.
Chuck & Wynona are also at Make Your Meal, they have just arrived, but are lost and cannot find the market.
It’s a Double U-Turn, Pam & Winnie are there and have U-Turned Joey & Meghan. Max & Katie are still struggling to get their ingredients wile Chuck & Wynona can still not find the market. Bates & Anthony are at Make Your Move, they have just completed it. Joey & Meghan have just finished Make Your Move and will soon find out that they have been U-Turned.
Pam & Winnie are officially team number one and they have won a trip to British Columbia, Canada.
Joey & Meghan are very upset, they can’t believe that they were U-Turned and decide to U-Turn Chuck & Wynona since it is a Double U-Turn. Caroline & Jennifer are so confused, they can’t figure out the chess game. Mona & Beth have figured out their chess game and are done. Max & Katie, Mona & Beth are all headed to the Pit Stop. Chuck & Wynona have finally found the market and feel confident that they have found all their ingredients while Joey & Meghan have just arrived at the market. Caroline & Jennifer have just learned that they are not U-Turned and couldn’t be happier.
Max & Katie are team number two, Mona & Beth team number three to arrive at the Pit Stop with Bates & Anthony not far behind and now team number four.
Joey & Meghan find that getting the ingredients at the market is not as easy as they first thought, but they do manage to finish before Chuck & Wynona because they forgot the chickens. Caroline & Jennifer are team number five to arrive at the Pit Stop. Joey & Meghan get in a cab with a guy that doesn’t know where he is going, while this gives Chuck & Wynona a chance to catch up, but they are U-Turned and have to go play chess.
Joey & Meghan are team number six and couldn’t be happier – the two are ready for the next leg and getting revenge for the U-Turn. Chuck & Wynona are the last team to arrive, but since Dave & Connor have left the race, they are officially team number seven and that means they are still in the race.
