Dean McDermott cheated on Tori Spelling. I suppose everyone already assumed that was a fact, but now we have anecdotal evidence from one of his one-night stands. US Weekly’s cover issue this week is devoted to Dean’s affair with a woman named Emily Goodhand. Well, maybe not affair so much as a one-night fling.
Emily tells US that she and Dean met on December 6th through mutual friends and had their quickie fling in a Toronto hotel. She tries to make it seem as though she wasn’t doing anything wrong by telling US, “He told me he and Tori had a sexless marriage. I believed him.” Right, because a dude telling you that he doesn’t have sex with his wife is a great excuse to jump his bones? Let’s call a spade a spade here, Emily obviously just wants her fifteen minutes of fame and this is a great way to get major tabloid coverage.
That’s not to say I don’t believe her – I do, completely. But I don’t think this is the first time Dean’s cheated on Tori, so what makes this time tabloid worthy? Well, because of Emily’s decision to spill all the tawdry details of their affair to US. According to her, the first time they had sex was quick, but the second time, it was a more drawn-out affair. She claims that Dean showed her images from his sex tape with Tori, which: Eww.
Anyway, Emily apologizes to Tori at the end of the report, saying, “I’m an adult and I make my own decisions. I’m sorry. I f**ked up.”
Well, Emily’s apology is sure to make Tori feel better after she found out about the affair – not. I don’t think Tori nor Dean particularly cares about each others’ various trysts, but I’m pretty sure they do care a lot about their public image. Either Tori takes this as a good thing since she desperately needs some good publicity, and a jilted wife is always good for the image, or…. actually no, Tori’s probably happy about this. Forget everything I said, she’ll be milking this for the next year, at least.
