Phaedra Parks crushed Apollo Nida by not visiting her jailed husband with their two children for Christmas. Apollo Nida had been looking forward to wife Phaedra Parks and kids Ayden and Dylan visiting him on Christmas in the Kentucky prison where he is serving an eight-year sentence for identity theft and bank fraud. That visit didn’t happen, reports Radar Online, as the Real Housewives of Atlanta star opted to stay home with her two boys over making the trip to see her husband—who is the father of her two children.
A source close to the RHOA star shared, “The entire day was devoted to the boys, and they had a great time. Everything Phaedra does is for the boys, and she didn’t want any of the drama of the past year to impact their Christmas.” Opting for some quiet family time, Phaedra spent the day in her Atlanta home with her sons after telling family and friends that she didn’t make the prison trip because it “logistically just didn’t work out.”
As Phaedra Parks prepares to file for divorce from her imprisoned husband, Apollo Nida, she has been playing nice—allowing Nida to speak with his sons any time he calls. She also encourages her sons to write letters and draw pictures for her to mail to their father. Though she wouldn’t pay him a visit, Phaedra did allow a phone call between the prisoner and his sons. While Parks is eager to move on, she feels strongly about her sons knowing their father and having him in their lives.
