Mere weeks after CDL reported that Charlie Sheen was growing weary of fiancé Brett Rossi’s demanding, erratic behavior, and just weeks before their planned wedding, the couple has officially called it quits.
Sheen confirmed the split today to Radar Online. Sheen’s statement via his publicist was out of character for the easily-agitated actor, so perhaps they really did end on good terms. The official statement, as reported by Radar Online, makes it clear that not only is the wedding off but the couple is officially parting ways.
“Scotty and I had a great year together as we traveled the world and crossed a lot of things off our bucket list. She’s a terrific gal, but we’ve mutually decided to go our separate ways and to not spend the rest of our lives together. I’ve decided that my children deserve my focus more than a relationship does right now. I still have tremendous fondness for Scotty and I wish her all the best.” Apparently, you cannot be married and focus on your children at the same time.
Sheen has had his hands full lately, giving the majority of his attention to fighting a lawsuit from a dental technician in which she accused the actor of sexual battery after he reportedly had a bad reaction to nitrous oxide, pulled off his mask, grabbed her breast, and flailed his arms around.
Rossi and Sheen had been having problems in the months leading up to their wedding, with many accusing Rossi of being the force behind Sheen firing his long-time manager and also because the former porn star refused to sign a confidentiality agreement. Imagine the things she could come out with! No wonder Sheen was scared and not willing to take a risk.
