Man, just how many affairs did Chris Martin and Gwyneth Paltrow have before their ‘conscious uncoupling’? According to a new report from Page Six, Chris Martin might have had an affair with an SNL assistant during his gig on the show last year.
This isn’t very surprising. If you look back on footage from the show, Chris tried awfully hard to flirt with Emma Stone, only to be rebuffed constantly. If he was that desperate to hook up with someone, I’m sure an assistant would have been more than willing to have a fling with the Coldplay frontman.
Sources have confirmed in the past week that Chris and Gwyneth definitely had an open marriage during the past few years, so I guess it’s not technically ‘cheating’.
An NBC source elaborates on this affair, explaining, “He had an affair with a woman who was backstage and was part of an entourage. Everyone was talking about it because he was openly flirting with her at one of the show after-parties.”
Again, she was not the only woman he was flirting with, but if Chris and Gwyneth really did have an open marriage, I’m sure Chris wasn’t keeping his availability limited only to this one assistant. Now that all the reports on their numerous affairs are starting to leak, we can’t help but look at Gwyneth and Chris in a whole new light.
Who knew that Goop and her perfect marriage was all a lie? There were always rumors circling the couple and whispers of infidelity, but now that we know the truth, it just makes it that much more real. Gwyneth and Chris definitely didn’t have a perfect marriage, and honestly, their breakup seems much more amicable than their relationship ever did.
Also, I’d expect many more ‘sources’ to start coming out of the woodwork in the coming weeks. We know this wasn’t the only affair Chris had, so prepare yourself.
