Days of Our Lives spoilers have teased a relationship between Hope and Aiden for months now, but before Hope could move on with Aiden, she had to let go of the other half of her former super couple, Bo Brady. Hope and Bo’s love story garnered hundreds of thousands of fans and followers, and will most likely go down in soap opera super couple history. But all of that changed in 2012 when out of the blue Peter Reckell announced that he was quitting Days of Our Lives and Bo Brady was written out of the NBC soap opera.
Like many major characters the Days of Our Lives, writers left Bo’s exit open-ended so at some point they could recast the character or even bring back Reckell. Since Peter Reckell’s exit, the actor was very vocal about why he chose to quit. He even told Soap Opera Digest in 2013 that the reason he left was, “Not having a storyline, not being able to do anything artistic there was my issue…I just want the people who support me to know the real reason why I’m not there.”
Recently on Days of Our Lives, Bo’s name has come up a lot, since Hope has decided to divorce him since he left Salem over a year ago and hasn’t returned. Peter Reckell has taken to Twitter over the past few weeks, and implied that he is in talks to return to DOOL. On October 8th Reckell tweeted, “Thks 4 the love u guys! I very much appreciate your comments & keeping me up 2 date. Not promising anything but, there maybe some progress!”
