General Hospital spoilers have been teasing for months now that Jason Morgan is alive and will be returning to Port Charles. Rumors have been running rampant that The Young and the Restless alum Billy Miller was cast as the new Jason Morgan. And, earlier this summer TV Guide’s Michael Logan tweeted that Miller’s contract with General Hospital was a “done deal.” Obviously, every one took Logan seriously, he works for TV Guide and covers soaps extensively, so why would he lie?
According to another TV Guide writer and soap opera enthusiast, Nelson Branco, there was absolutely no truth to Michael Logan’s statement about Billy Miller and he is NOT joining the cast of General Hospital as Jason Morgan. In Soap Opera UNCENSORED Issue 99, Nelson Branco revealed, “As for TV GUIDE’s Michael Logan claiming Billy Miller GH-appointment was a ‘done deal,’ UNCENSORED has since learned that the Emmy winner is not joining the ABC sudser, although he was courted. Friends tell UNCENSORED that Miller doesn’t want to do another soap opera.”
I think the obvious question on every General Hospital fan’s mind is, “if Billy Miller isn’t playing Jason Morgan then who the hell is?” We have thought that Miller’s contract with General Hospital was a “done deal” for months now. And, in August it was revealed that Jason Morgan was alive and awake, meaning that his comeback could be literally any day now. If Billy Miller doesn’t walk in to Port Charles as Jason Morgan, then who will? We have been so focused on Miller’s big General Hospital debut, we haven’t even considered any other actors could taking on the part.
