The drama in Port Charles took a dark turn today on General Hospital, and several lives will be deeply affected. We have watched AJ try to puzzle together the events of the night he allegedly shot Connie for weeks. He finally put two and two together and realized that he was not the person that pulled the trigger the night that Connie was murdered, it was actually Ava Jerome. Not only did Ava try to convince AJ that he murdered someone, she also tried to frame him for the crime!
Today on General Hospital AJ paid Ava a visit to confront her about killing Connie. Their conversation turned heated and Ava confessed to sending Carlos to kill AJ. She chirped, “You know what they say, if you want something done right you have to do it yourself,” and then she pulled a gun on AJ. AJ attacked her and she dropped the gun and he began choking her in a fit of rage.
AJ could have very easily choked Ava Jerome to death with his bare hands, but in a shocking turn of events Sonny arrived. Sonny picked up Ava’s gun and threatened AJ so he stopped choking Ava, after considering his options for a moment, Sonny proceeded to shoot AJ in cold-blood. Sonny had no idea that moments before he arrived Ava confirmed she had killed Connie, not AJ. Sonny didn’t shoot AJ to save Ava, he pulled the trigger to avenge Connie’s death. Oh, the irony.
General Hospital fans are waiting with bated breath to see whether or not AJ survives Port Charles most recent shooting. If he doesn’t make it, it will be a long drawn out death because General Hospital spoilers revealed that later this week AJ’s son Michael rushes to be by his side. If AJ died immediately, Michael wouldn’t be rushing to his bedside. It would be pretty horrible if AJ died though, seeing as how he actually didn’t kill Connie. Sonny shot an innocent man (well, innocent of killing Connie anyways).
It will be interesting to see how the Port Charles Police Department handle the recent shooting, after all Sonny Corinthos is a powerful man and his son Dante is a Port Charles Police Officer. Considering Ava is currently trying to convince Sonny that she wants to work with his family against her brother Julian, she will most likely lie for Sonny to the police and say that AJ was trying to kill her and Sonny saved her life by shooting him. Only time will tell.
