Kate Middleton Cries, Gets Emotional At East Anglia Children's Hospice Appeal: Relates To Mother's Grief (VIDEO - PHOTOS)

Kate Middleton will do anything to distract you from her burgeoning baby bump, including crying in public. Kate Middleton cries and sheds tears just like the rest of us but somehow manages to do it when the cameras are on. Kate was present at the appeal launch event for East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices, and she spent a significant amount of time at the event, going around and meeting everyone involved.

However, when hearing about the death of a young daughter to one of the other parents there, Kate Middleton reportedly started tearing up. She told the mother [who lost the child], “You’re a very brave lady — I’m just so, so sorry.”

Okay, maybe I was being harsh. The tears seem genuine, even if Kate’s whole public engagement demeanor has become a lot more polished recently. I feel like she’s become incredibly media savvy over the past few months, and can trick anyone into doing anything. Of course, Kate Middleton is probably still under strict instructions to follow rigid royal protocol, but it’s a relief to see one of the most high-profile royals in the world make time to behave like a normal human being, with normal human emotions.. At least this way, Kate Middleton makes more royal engagements, and we have more to write about!

Seriously though, I do think that Kate Middleton’s tears at the event were sincere. Now, whether it was all sincerity or part-PR and part-sincerity, I want to congratulate her on finding a way to earn attention for her charity work while simultaneously drawing attention away from her baby bump. We all know by now that Kate Middleton loathes her baby bump, right? She covers it up with peplums and loose dresses, and even though it’s a sign of glowing health and her royal status, it’s like she’s so vain that she can’t stand to see people watch her gain weight.

What do you guys think? Are we being harsh? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.
