Kate Middleton Pregnant after Miscarriage Update: Baby Bump Photos, Prince Harry's Birthday Party, Malta Trip Confirm No Pregnancy

Is Kate Middleton pregnant, has The Duchess of Cambridge suffered a miscarriage? Kate’s ongoing pregnancy speculation won’t end until the palace gives us a confirmation, one way or another. However, it doesn’t look like they’re going to give that to us, so we’re just going to have to figure out the truth about whether Kate Middleton is pregnant again after her putative miscarriage from all the evidence instead. Behold: the latest updates in PregnancyGate 2014.

To be very, very realistic about this whole situation, it’s looking pretty implausible that Kate is pregnant right now. For one thing, she’s actively going out and planning parties and hanging out with friends and going shopping. Remember her first trimester with Prince George, when she was hospitalized for morning sickness and pregnancy issues? Well, there’s no way she’d be as active as she is now if that was the case. Plus, the royals have confirmed that she’s going to Malta – on her own – AND she has a wedding in Italy next month.

From all that, we’d have to conclude that Kate is definitely not pregnant, right? So what does that mean for the royals? After all, it was Vanity Fair that reported that Kate and Prince William were trying for a baby during the summer, and guess what? We’re at the end of summer right now. Does that mean that Kate and Will didn’t succeed in creating the spare? Or was the report false?

In addition to that, we’ll also have to dismiss Kate’s slight weight gain over the past few months. That’s much easier to let go, considering that weight fluctuates pretty quickly, and Kate was under a lot of stress after she got back from the New Zealand and Australia tour. Plus, she does have a little toddler to take care of, and that’s bound to play a part in her physical appearance. Gaunt and tired? Check.

If we’re looking at all the pieces laid out separately, we just can’t say that Kate is pregnant. Jessica Hay, Kate’s ex-BFF, was clearly wrong or lying when she said that Kate was expecting her second child. If she wasn’t, then the royals have become master ninjas at secret keeping, because they’ve covered up every ounce of evidence indicating to Kate’s possible pregnancy.
