Kate Middleton Shocking Snub: Skips Queen Elizabeth's Dinner Following Christmas Day Church Service in Sandringham!

Kate Middleton grows tired of being a pretty face without credit for a brain and has set a New Year’s resolution to be more independent and stop playing ‘the good wife’ to Prince William, Queen Elizabeth and the royal family. After Kate Middleton and the royals attended the Christmas Day church service at St. Mary Magdalene Church in Sandringham the morning of December 25, (see photos and video below) Kate resolved to change. No more mindless second-fiddle to Prince William role for The Duchess of Cambridge in 2015, the new Kate is planning on showing that she is smartest royal at the palace! Note that for the first time Kate broke with tradition and had Christmas dinner with her parents Carole and Michael Middleton at Anmer Hall along with Kate’s brother James and sister Pippa. Of course Prince William had to get permission from Queen Elizabeth not to attend her Christmas dinner at Sandringham and sit with his wife and in-laws at home. Still, this is a huge snub of Queen Elizabeth by Kate Middleton! Perhaps if The Queen would have invited the Middleton’s to Christmas then this separation during the holidays could have been avoided but with Pippa Middelton signing on for The Today Show that was not going to happen!

The New Year is fast approaching, and that means New Year’s resolutions! Now, all of us peasants have New Year’s resolutions, but so do royals and celebrities. Kate Middleton is certainly one of those people who probably has a long line of New Year’s resolutions, but what would they consist of? According to our sources, Kate Middleton’s been determined to earn her independence for a long time, both with her husband, Prince William, and Queen Elizabeth, as well as with the press and media in general.

Right now, Kate Middleton is popular and well known in the media for her style, her fashion, her hair, the heir (Prince George) and really, rather silly ‘Woman’s Day’ magazine type reasons. However, Kate does consider herself an intellectual who graduated from one of the best universities in the UK, and she also deigns herself smarter than Prince William and the rest of the royals. I mean, it’s not that hard to be smarter than the royals, if we’re being honest. Most of them coasted through their education on their names and their royal pedigrees, and a lot of them are lacking in both book smarts and street smarts, not to mention basic common sense.

Anyway, we’re not here to rag on the royal family [that much], but rather see that it’s quite easy for Kate Middleton to get frustrated in their midst. She’s not given anything of importance to do, and she’s treated as Camilla Parker-Bowles punching bag and Prince William’s well-dressed wife. She reportedly wants to start being appreciated for her intellect and what she can bring to the table, not just for what dress she wore to the last event or how big her baby bump is getting.

I mean, she can hope for her independence and she can even attempt to be taken more seriously, but will it work? There’s a specific way our media and celebrity culture works, and unfortunately for Kate Middleton, she’s firmly entrenched in the pointless fashion icon section of celebrity-dom.
