Robert Pattinson is finally in Cannes, leading to fan pandemonium wherever he goes. However, the biggest question on fans’ lips is whether their beloved Edward and Bella will ever get back together, and whether that fateful moment is set to happen at Cannes.
Seriously, people’s fan fiction has started blurring with their reality in a very unsettling way, and it doesn’t help matters that both Rob and Kristen [Stewart] initially went public with their relationship at Cannes two years ago. And because of that, fans are viewing Cannes as a prime location for their Robsten reunion, and whether it happens in public or not, I think we can safely bet that it will be hard to avoid the topic completely.
Plus, sources close to the Robsten camp have been very vocal about the idea of a Cannes reunion, even if they wouldn’t clarify on whether this reunion was romantic in nature. Purely in terms of logistics, it would be next to impossible for Kristen and Rob to avoid each other in public completely, even if their premieres are scheduled on different days. Even apart from their movie screenings, there’s usually one major industry party per night that everyone in town tries to go to, and if Rob and Kristen don’t go to these events, it’ll appear obvious to the fans that they’re trying to avoid the press and the attention.
Besides, certain sources are claiming that Rob and Kristen have already met in France, as Kristen flew to the event a few days before her own film, Clouds of Sils Maria, premiered. In addition to flying in early, she and Rob have reportedly been spending some time together, away from the media spotlight. However, Kristen was notably absent during the Vanity Fair and Armani party on Saturday night where Rob was seen hanging out with the Hunger Games crew. Then again, she can’t exactly go making public appearances with Rob, can she? Not if she and Rob plan on keeping their romantic reunion private and away from the media’s attention.
