NCIS spoilers tease a new addition to the popular CBS drama’s cast. According to the TV show’s casting spoilers, actress Jeri Ryan has been hired to play the part of Rebecca, Jethro Gibbs’s fourth ex-wife. You will most likely recognize Ryan from her roles on Body of Proof, Boston Public, and Star Trek: Voyager. Although typically known for her blond locks, NCIS spoilers tease that the actress will be a redhead on NCIS, just like Gibbs’s previous three ex-wives that have been introduced.
Over the course of NCIS’s 12 seasons, which kicked off over a decade ago in 2003, there have always been ongoing storylines addressing Gibbs’s personal life and little breadcrumbs have been dropped regarding the character’s mysterious past. According to NCIS spoilers in the December 22nd edition of GLOBE magazine, “Jeri Ryan is set to play the missing piece in the puzzle surrounding the mysterious past life of Jethro Gibbs.” The show’s creator Gary Glassberg dished to GLOBE, “After 12 seasons there was still one ex-wife to cast opposite Gibbs and we found her in the beautiful and talented Jeri Ryan. We’re all very excited to have Jeri join us for a story that is chock full of surprises.”
So far on NCIS, viewers have been introduced to three of Gibbs’s ex-wives, and they all were pretty wild tales of murder, gold-digging, and divorce. It’s really anyone’s guess what could have went down between Jethro and Rebecca; whatever it is we are sure we won’t be disappointed. So NCIS fans, what do you think Rebecca’s backstory will be?
